  • And the purpose of this is...?

  • VERY NICE! I love Haughtons and Schindler Haughtons. Love the type L fixtures, but I can't understand the reasoning behind the Adams COP.

    Why is 15 non-existant?

  • Either Westinghouse or Dover modernized this

  • I've haven't been on a Haughton Elevator in a long time.

  • stupid

  • yes i agree, it's the perfect word to descripe you :)

  • that would really suck if you pressed the 17 button, the elevator got up there, and then the power goes out for a long time.

  • thyssenkruppdover, you suck

  • Awesome, you got to revisit the hospital where you were born!

And Schindler must've forgotten to break the Door Close button on those elevators.

  • Is 17 locked?

  • that is one HUGE hospital (compared to ours) and i agree they should put them on the Historic thing ;)

  • what is the built year from this elevator?

  • It was put in in the mid 1970s. also Queeny tower which i will upload soon was erected in 1965

  • i cant wait to see the Queeny tower video once its uploaded let me now once you upload it

  • I will do that. I will try to get it up in the next week. I still have over 40 vids to upload..

  • I might film at the hospital I was born in sometime soon. I was born at Winthrop Hospital in Mineola, NY.

  • There is a beautiful old Haughton Manual Elevator System in the Old Pioneer Press Building (not to be confused with the new Pioneer Press Building) here in Saint Paul. They still run it with Elevator Operators!! :-)

  • Very nice elevator! It must feel good to walk in that building.

  • What's the fate of Haughton?

  • Bought by Schindler

  • schindler ruined it

  • They improved it.

  • Nice for a hospital elevator, and it's interesting how this uses white/red lanterns, along with a working door close button, which is too bad that Schindler doesn't use. Also, the door open button I think is lit, so the staff can easily identify the button.

  • We keep doing the same things and visiting the same places! I just posted a Haughton at a Hospital today too, but it was University Hospital in Coulumbia.

  • Perhaps they should put a large-scale model of "Dieselducy 1" on the roof as well. Why not go all the way?
