@TutorialsOps dv6z has a amd quad core 2.3Ghz 4mb l2 cache processor. and the dv6t has an i5 2.3Ghz @41xx 3mb l2 cache processor.

to make it simple. i5 below 750m processor is STILL dual core. their running both at 2.3Ghz the quad is times 4 and the i5 is times 2 the speed!

i series is just costly because its the intel's i series, and the quad is much cheaper because its AMD. but performance wise? definitely the quad! and thats not all, that amd quad core can be overclocked par to the intel's i7

This isnt the Dv6z. Its the previous generation dv6. The dv6z has beats audio and no design on the lid...

Processor: AMD Phenom(TM) II Quad-Core Mobile Processor N970 (2.2GHz, 2MB L2 Cache)

Graphics card: 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon(TM) HD 6550 switchable graphics [HDMI, VGA]

RAM: 6GB (its a free upgrade atm, so no reason to settle for 4GB)

@heyitskaren If you purchased the Select Edition, then yes, it lights up. The regular HP Pavilion Dv6 does not have a glowing logo.

I have this laptop!! I highly recommend anyone to get this laptop if they were searching for one. I bought it at costco with their nice deal. Mine is the black cherry color and it looks supa sexy!!!

@iM9A Any new HP computer with a "Z" in the model number has an AMD processor. Any new HP computer with a "T" in the model number has an Intel processor. So there are the dv6t and dv6t select edition series with Intel processors, and then there are the dv6z and dv6z select edition series with AMD processors.
