@VictorGii its an upgrade for the cobalt. smaller pulley then stock. shorter belt bigger injectors. u gain about 30-40 hp if u go gm other companys alot higher.

I like these cars alot however if i bought one i would probably swap the engine because that eco-tec ain't doing it for me although I have no idea what i could replace it with. Plus I would have to put some money into it you know how it is gotta have me a turbo. Nice car but I think ill pass and stick with my supra.

@GK0003 2008 and on (maybe 2007) you can buy one with a turbo stock. 260 hp. before that you could only get the supercharger and it had 205 hp out of the box. of course you can go crazy in the after market but not bad off the line

I'm getting a 2006 cobalt ss supercharged (no rear spoiler) for $9,988...I'm 16 and looking for a good car...sporty but affordable...is this a good choice of car...ive done a lot of research on it but I'd like some personal opinions of some cobalt owners

@malanade1 If your looking for a car that you could dump money into and see 100% of the work you've done to it, then this is a good car. Ive had my SS for a year, Did pretty much $3,000 of work to it, and Im loving it. The only thing I would recommend is maybe getting the 2008 or newer cobalt SS TC. They are faster and have alot more options on them, but for the price you said, you wont be disappointed.

there is 3 versions of the Cobalt SS. There is the SS/NA, Then there is Cobalt SS Supercharged which is from 2005-2007. And then from 2008-2010 there are SS Turbocharged

Depends on what YOU want.

Do you prefer the big american muscle gas eating V8 with tons of potential?

Or do you prefer the tuner economic yet powerful smaller car. You'd probably get more attention with a Mustang - whether you want that or you dont. The cobalt will handle better and surprise a lot of people.

I myself would go with the Mustang, but thats just because I'm a muscle car person. If I was to take the best overall choice though, I'd probably go with the Cobalt.

not quite sure how you will put a turbo on it but if you mean replace it with a turbo......no in the long run it will cost you lotsa money your better off upgrading to a stage 2 right from gm (smaller pulley) doesnt void the warranty and you get approx a 50 hp gain!
