People need to get this "Vegas lifestyle" out of their heads when thinking of moving to Las Vegas. Don't move here under false pretenses that you're going to be surrounded by beautiful women and money lol. Myself, I am planning on moving. Was born and raised here. Native Las Vegans are a dieing breed, and there's a reason why. Really think long and hard about moving here.

One last thing, Henderson isn't Las Vegas.

Fuck Las Vegas. I was raised here since I was 3 and I almost 24. The junkies, sluts, the people, and the poor investment in our city development has been by far poor. I am sick of seeing dirt everywhere including on the street *people*. L.A. Fuels this city on a standard basis, the air traffic brings in the people that can afford the real party life style. Fuck this town. Nothing wrong with wealth and beautiful women, but this town was built on dirt and it is dirt. Oh and fuck L.A.

Yes of course, Vegas is one of the most beautiful & entertaining city in the nation. I will be heading back to Vegas to stay permanently, because I miss it so.

Lived there for while. It has been ok from 1999 till 2003....now the city is completely fucked up. Lot of violent crime. Even the strip became dangerous. I still go to there for vacation but that's it. And when you live there you really just don'r care about the damn Strip.

Every morning I would lose my mind trying to get to work. Some days I would be stuck on the freeway for nearly an hour waiting for construction workers. The trauma center closed down at one of the hospitals a few years back leaving health care crippled- The mayor of the city has a million dollar office while school teachers are quitting in droves. There are not enough police officers, crime is out of control and the cost of living is crazy. Its just not worth it to me. I moved to south dakota =)

This is not the las vegas life... I lived in Las Vegas for 10 years. Most of those years I never went down to the strip except to work (paramedic). Ohh yeah, vegas is great. In the area that I lived a lunatic was walking up to peoples apartment windows and shooting people. He shot one girl who was only 7 or 8 years old.

I've lived in LV since 1996. I came to study at UNLV and loved the city.  I don't play at the casinos or go out to the Strip every night. I keep myself fit and attend church regularly. If I want to go out for a night, it is there to choose. I love playing golf and there are 50+ top golf courses within the city. LAS VEGAS IS AWESOME.

There is lots of things to do and houses are really cheap! we just moved here from L.A. California and we have a HUGE house now and you can see all the pretty hotels from my new house and i love it here! the only bad thing is LOTS of street and freeway traffic. but other than that i LOVE Las Vegas!!! :D

There are 2 million people living in Las Vegas. If its not possible to live a normal life in Las Vegas, then all 2 million people must be some wackos.. If by "normal" you mean going to work everyday, going to movies and restaurants time to time, meeting friends and family, then yes there are people with "normal" lives. Some people do, some people dont, just like anywhere else. It all depends on the person, doesnt it?

My sister in Las Vegas and have visited a few times. I live in Seattle and love it. It's not because of the rain. LOL There is a sharp distinction between the sense of community that lacks in LV versus Seattle. In LV, you kind of get the sense of pretentiousness. Wannabees trying to be somebody, and usually just full of themselves. The coolest people are not from the US. In my 'hood, you have kool smaller quaint neighborhood bars vs. the loud over the top club/lounge of LV.

I have to agree with you. While there are so many beautiful things to see in Las Vegas, the sense of emptiness and pretentiousness is all too obvious after being there for some time, and interacting with the people. It's so beautiful, yet it really is lacking something you cannot "build"

Obviously you can have fun with friends and stuff but is not the same as some where else.
