iWork is allot better, unlike work where people only know how to use about 10% of its features, Pages 08 (apple's word)I sat down and learned the entire thing in a few minutes. Same with keynote (apple's power point) and numbers (apple's excel). Best part is I can save it in the MS Office formats and they work fine at school. Except keynote is high definition, so it downscales quality to work in power point.

What the hell are you talking about? I always have dreamweaver, ftp client, instant messaging, photoshop, indesign, illustrator, bridge, adressbook, calendar, print service, mail, all iLife apps, final cut and 5 different browsers running, even on my 13" macbook. I didn't restart it for two MONTHS one time and still it was very fast and kept almost totally quiet, except when rendering something complicated. I can't imagine a PC laptop doing this for 1.7k €.

Actually the Mac Pro can have up to 4 harddiscs which means several terabytes. I also miss the touch stuff. But an active digitizer is even greater, in my opinion. That's comming with the Modbook, but it's soo expensive... have to think about it.

I Agree with some of you, macs have a creative and easy to use OS. I like PC's better, because the actual computer is made by companies competing to beat the others, which enables better computers.

The Macbook Pro is an impressive computer, but it doesn't stand up to the Pc notebooks that are out there. I've never heard of a macintosh with even a terabyte of memory. Or a touch screen notebook.

Also in macs, clicking and dragging doesn't move stuff. For some reason, the shortcut to the harddrive on the desktop just dissappeared during my session. No big deal, I open up finder, click and drag the hard drive icon over to the destop, and, instead of dropping there which actually makes sense, it explodes. I'm serious, it just went "poof!" Then there's all the problems I have with mac not being able to save my programs. And I could go on, but I have to go, to use the mac

The hardware for apple sucks. the mighty mouse just isn't, and I use mac osx's daily. Where do the problems begin? well, the finder is a piece of crap, to open it, you must have the dock, which serves no real purpose. With a PC, you can do anything with the keyboard, open up programs, etc. but with macs, you have to open finder with the mouse, and to open it using the top bar, you have to search around.

Hardware for Apple doesn't suck. The mighty mouse is really efficient. I can set the mouse for easy one click access to dashboard expose. If you weren't an idiot you'd realize that if you went to "Keyboard & Mouse" in System Preferences you can add a keyboard shortcut for any application on your Mac including Finder. The dock is a lot easier to use than the unorganized piece of crap Windows calls the taskbar. I've had my Mac for 3 days and even I know that you can open Finder with a shortcut.

Safari,Pages,TextEdit,AppleWor­ks,NeoOffice and Adium. In my opinion all much superior programmes to the MS ones you've mentioned. I think one of the reasons that Apple don't port their stuff over because the reason it was built was to run as seamlessly on possible on OSX and NOT to be used as a cashcow... (that's what itunes is for :D)

umm.. my Macbook with 2.0 Ghz, 80 GB, and a whole bunch of other fancy tenchical mumbo jumbo was only $1099... and it is the best computer i have even owned both in terms of the OS software and the hardware design... I can only speak from personal experience but after my parents WinPC crashed last week they just ordered a 17'' iMac...
