I respect trade people who knows their job and can explain it correctly without any misterious sides attached, thank you for this video I'm sure will help many of us the precedure and how to do it and planty of information provided, thank you again with my all good wishes..
Wasted a lot of time looking for a Nissan Maxima rear caliper retract video. This one tells me all i needed to know, without the bull of the other videos in you tube. great job!
today i spent 2 hours trying to push the calipers in with a c clamp. a tool supplier didn't inform me about how to do it and sold me a cheap aluminum c clamp for 15 bucks. got screwed and my dad's friends happen to help me understand that it needs to be turned like a bolt. i was so piissed off at the auto supply shop.
Thank you so much. I was using pliers to clamp down and knew there had to be some sort of soecial way to do this. Thus I gave up and went to youtube. You defnitely just saved my day.
On Mercury Sables, in general, if you have "The CUBE" piston adapter, you have to use the side with the 4 pins, the ones that are farthest out at the corners. There is one down side though, since the Sable piston has 2 notches, then 2 of the pins will need to be milled off.
thank you so much i broke a c clamp and beat the piston with a hammer untill i was ready to cry i thought the calliper was siezed it might be now that i beat the hell out of it
Very helpfull in deed, but i would like to no, if ther´s a problem if i turn over and over again, because my caliper is on is limit. the ruber is all stretch.
I tried pushing in my pistons with circlip pliers - no chance! Needed a special tool for around £30 (like a corkscrew), still hard, even with reservoir cap removed. Car: Bora
Thank you! I wish I watched this first before i snapped my G clamp in half lol
