    I now own a 2001 Firebird.

  • nice kar bro i got da same exact ride but mines silver.

  • @GreyGrandAmGT5

Thanks. I've got a 2001 Firebird V6 now...my Grand Am got hail damage.

  • sweet car! RIP pontiac. I love my 96 buick regal GS coupe and will drive it till it dies

  • LMAOOOOOO wtf

  • Nice Grand AM! Take good care of it. These cars are going to start getting collectible very soon.

  • @danthechevymanc6 i doubt grand ams will ever be a collectable... :p dime a dozen and get some nice problems after 100K

  • Well 1st off Great lookin car! And 2nd I'm pretty sure the song was open your eyes by alter bridge

  • Nice to see someone who takes care of their GA. So many are trashed. I have a white '05 GT with 60,000 miles that I bought in '08. Really fun little car with decent gas mileage. I'm thinking of trading it in on a '10 Camaro V6 though cuz I don't have a warranty and still owe $10K on it. I've heard lots of horror stories about these cars so I'm a little worried cuz I'm no mechanic. I hope it hangs in there for a while...no problems so far. Any advice?? Have you had much trouble with yours?

  • yes! great car accompanied with a great song! i the same car but silver :)

  • Very nice car

  • nice car!!

  • I have a 2001 grand am same color but its an se and its got some after market parts

  • I got a 01 gt , my security system keeps screwing up. now the dumb thing won't start at all...found out that a lot of these cars have the same problem...wish i had done more research before i bought the stupid thing!!

  • @superdave7498 yeah the pass lock is a pain in the ass, to bypass it turn your key to the on position and leave it like that for 10 min's it will bypass the pass lock but your problem could be your ignition cylinder is wore out

  • @dave . pickup a used ignition from a scrapyard, or brand new, your choice. but replacing it will fix this problem. had the same trouble with my 01 ga se

  • this looks a lot like my car but mines a 2000 grand am se

  • What is the song ??

  • I have an 03 exact same...but i have rimms and tintet windows it's shweettt!!

  • Click the link to my cardomain to see what the car looks like now...

  • nice hair....

  • awesome car man. i basically got the same car except it's a 1999. great cars. oh and mines red to lol

  • sick man. i have the exact same model and same color and its a sick car

  • This is a great video, i own a 2004 Grand Am GT with only 14,500 mi on it and i love it-ive been putting parts on it with every pay check and after 3 months i blow VWs off the road like they shouldnt be there lol

keep ur GAGT fresh man they are great cars

  • Dude you got to put your car on here then. I have the same car and Im looking for ideas !

  • lol i dont even have a camera to make a vid with man, but there are so many things you could do to this car, do you wanna go for looks or performance first??

  • Sorry but Grand Am GTs are not sweet. 3.4? Really? At least get a Grand Prix GT with a 3.8 I have a Grand Prix GTP with a supercharged 3.8 and I love it. 122,000 miles and I''ve had it since 117,000 and no major maintenance besides replacing the MAF sensor. Plus the gagt is ugly compared to a GP. Nothing against you, though, it's still a nice car.

  • i got same color but mines 99 so i got 4 doors lol

  • zas379 DO NOT get a gagt! dude i have a 99 gagt and it has been single handedly the worst decision of my life. Ive spent 3x what its worth repairing the pos. It's a GM so right off the bat its not reliable. I love this country and protect it but our cars are no competition for foreigns. Just think 2wice bo.

  • i have a 99 gagt too and it sucks >.>

  • How much did you pay for it? I'm thinking about getting one of these myself

  • i got mine for 4500$ they are really cheap and easy to find now. mine is even turbo charged with dual exaust and Ram-Air. even with out that stuff its fucking FAST. dont kill yourself in it if you get one XD

  • I test drove a 2004 Pontiac GTO a few weeks ago, and it makes my Grand Am GT feel like a toy. Don't get me wrong, they are zippy, but they aren't crazy fast. Overall, a good car for everyday commuting though. It's practical.

  • whats the song? i like it

  • "Open Your Eyes" by Alter Bridge...it was "I Remember You" by Skid Row until they disabled my audio due to copyright...

  • too bad its a fwd

  • whats wrong wit that

  • I guess nothing besides the fact you cant drift or do most other things that only rwd's can... I own an 08 Audi rs4 but its got differential setups i can change when i want like say put all power to rwd all power to awd or even all to fwd... Yes the grand am is a nice car but its got allot of restrictions... I also own a Cobalt Ls.. thats my daily driver

  • my brother drift in his cobalt ss all the time its an E brake and he does damn good

  • its not considered drifting if the car is fwd idiot... its called sliding.... just like 4wd isnt considered drifting its called Power sliding... and if you were to try and get into a drifting league and you have a fwd car you would get turned down every time...

and kid i dont give a fuck what your brother does hah No shit its ebrake thats the only damn thing you can use to get a fwd to drift you cant use the engine!! Its Required that Engine power is needed For it to be Considered a Drift! Idiot

  • wow your cool if you kno anything...which you dont in a fwd if you take a corner fast enough your rear and can loose grip causin a rearend skid(drift) tell me wat i dont know call me kid all you want i have youth and brains

  • hahaha yes but its not considered a drift in initial d and Nopi drift its considered a slide idiot any way what you drive your moms mini van?

  • Yeah bro, and if you know your ride well enough, and play with the tire pressure, you can get it to handle just the way you want around corners...generally a little extra PSI means more grip...I run about 37PSI(cold) in the front two, and 35PSI(cold) on the rears I've been driving like that for a while, still think I'll probably do some tweaking. The lower PSI on the rear helps counter-act the infamous FWD understeer.

  • my point egzactly just cuz som1 cant drive worth a shit doesnt mean others cant well i need an E brake to drit cut me slack ive been drivin for only 3 months but others can kick ass at it

  • The way I look at it...I've been driving for 2 years, and I drive a hell of a lot better than the little 'pretty boy' down the street who's DADDY bought him his MUSTANG SALEEN. Hahahahaha.

  • i fuckin hate all mustangs he must be a fag

  • Seems to me when it comes to Ford Vs GM, 9 times out of 10...price Vs Performance, GM wins. Look up Corvette Z06 Vs Shelby GT500KR. The Z06 is much cheaper, and has significantly better performance.

  • ya and gm doesnt need superchargers to make high output haha like the ford lightning and silverado ss

  • i usually run about 33 to 35 in mine. i have the exact same car. even the same color. except its a 99. lol.

  • nah dude hes right u need rear wheel drive to drift

  • correction you need rwd to drift

  • r these cars reliable??? i mean all the grand ams malibus and aleros from gm cuz im thinkin of getin one

  • I personally don't think they're GM's most reliable, but they're alright. However, I've had my fuel pump go out twice, and my power steering go out once on me in the year of ownership I've had it, just keep in mind my car is over 100,000 miles now. I would say the Grand Prix's are probably more reliable than the Grand Am's.

  • nah most of them eventually have electrical issues and mechanical problems . those r some minor issues

but they r annoying . hate it when ur turn signal wont go off or something like that

  • nice GT same thing as mine only 2 less door's now all you need to do is tint the windows and get a plate filler for it and you'll be set

  • fuckin idiot . why the fuck r u showing pics on youtube? douchebag!

  • You didn't have to watch it. Haha. Get your sorry ass off the computer and get a life then. Don't be hatin'. =D

  • maybe he likes his car you fucking ass hole i love my truck

  • LOL..... i never said it was a bad car......

  • u dickface cock sucking shithead motherfucker . dont make me stuff

my cock down ur throat , its pretty filling .

u asshole fucker make me sick i swear .

u shouldn't even be living stupid fuckhead

  • i like the quad exhaust

  • HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

  • me to and the sectery system keeps going on me every other month

  • i have agrand am gt and my keeps breaking down do u haver a lot of problems with your car

  • Haha, have I ever.

    Driver side window regulator

    Power steering pummp

    Fuel pump

    leaky intake manifold

    brakes

All has been fixed, but now I have an issue with my idle, and may need a new computer, and my wheel bearings are wearing out...

  • i have never had an issue with mine and ive had mine for over a year.

  • can you get one of these in a 5spd ?

  • GM only built the 3400 V6 Grand Ams with a 4 speed automatic.

If you wanted a 5 speed manual, you would have to get one with the 2.2L I4, or the 2.4L I4, which although great for fuel economy, I wouldn't want to have a dinky 4 cylinder. lol

  • okay thanks a bunch,yeah a l4 isn't enough,these cars need a V6...

  • Actually I own a Grand Am with a 2.2L 4 cylinder and a 5spd manual. The car is really fun to drive and goes like a rocket. I get good fuel economy and the engine a nice "growl" when it's rev'd up.

I'd suggest trying the 4 cylinder 5spd then if you don't like it you can always go to the V6

  • Indeed. And for those who want more than a 6 cylinder, I'd go with a 2006 Pontiac GTO. It has a 6.0L, 400HP LS2 V8. =D Damn I so wish I had one... RWD too...=P

  • Agreed my friend. Also the Grand Prix GXP and that new Camaro's pretty sweet.

Btw your car is very sweet. I've got the same rims you do. In fact those rims are the best factory rims I have seen on any car.

  • or the new 2008-09 pontiac g8 gxp(grand prix and bonneville replacement car) those are nice and clean lookin but they were designed by holden an euro company well so was the gto but they both are still sexy nice grand am i have a 01 grand prix gt

  • I am amazed on how peppy my 05 Grand Am Gt is for just having 175 horses, It will smoke both front tires on take off with no problem. The new G8 GT with the 361 horse motor is hella fast and it is a heavy car, and runs mid to high 13's

  • I have the exact same car....! Mine just hit 100,000 yesterday, and I don't plan on getting rid of it anytime soon (despite 2 blown headgaskets, blown out thermostat, and a few electrical issues...) Still, a solid car overall... why they discontinued it, I don't know.

  • Yeah, fuck G6 for replacing it...Bring back the highly successful Pontiac Grand Am! Just with higher build quality and reliability...

  • hey man! nice car! i love the grand am gt! but i dont know the hp. can you please tell me the hp of the car? stock? and how is the Acceleration on it?

  • My 2DR GT1 has the

    LA1 Engine

    175 Horsepower

    205 Torque

That much torque compared to HP makes the throttle response exceptional...at least in my opinion. The acceleration is pretty good, but gets a little slow at 80+mph, as you may have seen in the video at 3:30

  • yeah its interior is perfect and it has brand new tires on it, it still has like the factory plastic on the carpet ha. has sunroof and everything.

  • Sounds like a great deal to me. 3400 engine? Has the intake manifold gasket been replaced yet?

  • hmm im looking at an 01 gagt with 96k miles for 2700..think its a good deal? its in perfect condition just needs power steering fixed quoted at 250, so about 3000 for the car total.. what you think?

  • I think that's a pretty darn good deal. How's the interior and tires though? Fully loaded with all the optional features too? Or no?

  • I have one just like that but it's tan

  • red looks like plastic

    black better

  • I want leather seats. Bah. Nice ride =) If you got tinted windows, that would look 100 times sweeter

  • Yeah, I've seen GAGT's with tinted windows, it does look pretty badass. However, I live in Wisconsin and the law says I can only go 50% on front doors, and up to 35% on the rear windshield and rear windows/glass. However there is already a slight factory tint...which means if I put 50% tint on...it would make it illegal. =/

  • i wish they put the 3800 in these :(

  • Yeah, me too.

Like they put in the Grand Prix GTP's, the SC3800 =]

If only I had the money for an engine swap...

    =]
