  • r.i.p king..

  • U2 worshiped The Ramones and used to cover their songs when they first got together to practice. The Ramones even opened for them once and this was the last song Joey Ramone heard.

  • fune tribute..just as there will never be another Beatles, also there will never be another Ramones

  • Joey always in our hearts

  • hey dude you say you hate Green day ... I say ok but you need to know that punk's are different all around the world green day are good musicians....they gather around people who like that kind of punk rock .... Ramones my friend was the band that every single punk loved .... Punk's not dead punks are not dead ....

  • Slowly, slowly love...

    R.I.P. Joey Ramone :(

  • yes joeys brother mickey played this tune as the punk legend passed. R.I.P.

  • 0:45 lol

    R.I.P.

  • Johnny if he is honest with himself hated himself for stealing such a gentle soul as Joey's chick. Johnny really loved and cared for Joey - it;s so obvious, I mean you can see him trying his best to be all tiugh and macho but hisvoice wavers and breaks when he speaks of Joey...and who could blame him? Joey R.I.P.

  • @manconoo Do you fucking think so? I really believe he respected the man as you respect a co-worker who is really necessary....I mean, maybe you are right. I'm too fucking drunk to know it.

  • Joey was a voice to all the shy people in the world. A fucking monumental hero!!!

  • Johnny said that it hurt alot after Joey died, he didn't know why, but it hurt.. Johnny cared about Joey, he didnt know why, but he cared.

It's all on the ''End Of The Century'' documentary.

  • Joey Ramone!! Never Die!!

  • watch end of the century. johnny talked about how he really cared... he cared so much that he was depressed for over a week after joey died. that it hurt him. johnny has a lot of soul to him - he just doesn't like to show it.

  • I love the Ramones and saw them a few times. Joey was cool and all, but Dee Dee (Doug Colvin) wrote most of their songs, and even contributed many of his songs to the Ramones even after he laft. Joey may be the voice of the Ramones, but Dee Dee was the brain. I know it is hard to believe Dee Dee was the Brains, to anyone who knew him, but he was. Also, I am agnostic, so I am not even sure what God is, but to say Joey is God is a bit of a stretch. Music is subjective, its OK to like diff music

  • @paulgad Actually your statement about Dee Dee being the brain of the Ramones makes sense. The Ramones were a wacky band who we all can relate, and I think the only one who ever was a truly Ramone and enjoyed it was Dee Dee (hell, he even wanted to do hip-hop. He was true to himself)

  • Dee Dee, actually made a Rap Album after leaving the band in the 80's. I think he sold about three records, but he saw the Hip-Hop phenomenon coming on the horizon. He wanted to cash in on that and who can blame him. After making relatively little money with the Ramones for so many years, he wanted some money. The Ramones were always best live. I love listening to them on my I-Pod, but it is nothing like seeing a show. Their album sales wee never great. Their "Phil Specter" Album soldwell

  • Dee Dee was a fucking genius songwriter ie obviously the brain of the band. Johnny the most ambitious and stubborn and Joey the coolest and gentlest. What a band. They will be missed but they left us their amazing music.

  • @manconoo Don't forget that Joey also wrote manyof the ramones best songs including Sheena is a Punk Rocker, The KKK Took My Baby Away and She's the One among many others. DeDee brought his bizarre sense of humor to the songs and Joey brought his genuine humanity. Between them the ramones shone.

  • @RossM3838 Very true- Joey of course was also an incredible songwriter maybe not as prolific but brilliant all the same.

  • they were not wacky they were 10 years to early u fud

  • @calboy64 Hahahaha, you are fucking right! Sadly they weren't born in the 1960, otherwise we'll be talking about the must fucking famous band in the world, not only the must influential. Cheers for both U2 and The Ramones.

  • @Luneiro Tommy tells the story that once the Ramones stopped at a diner and the owner came up to their road manager and told him how nice it was that he took such good care of those retarded kids.

  • 2:56, Thats a fucking beautiful drawing. The pose could be better. I wanted to get a tattoo of joey and bon scott on me because they're two main influences that got me into learning to sing, play guitar, drums, and bass. I'm thinking something of that nature but with his ramones getup and Bon facing the other way with the mic to his face. I want to do this because it bums me that I missed out on seeing these guys cause I didn't discover good music till my early teens and I'm 19 now.

  • i'm 17 and got my ramones tattoo last year... i love it. you should get your tattoo done :)

  • This is appropriate... because Joey was Bono's idol. When the Ramones opened for U2 in the early 90s.... Bono was thrilled to finally meet Joey backstage.

  • Why??? Why come on to this page and slag themoff??? Take it you have a sad life?

  • why johnny should go see Joey on the hospital if they're not friend? they don't even talk to each other at that point... He should go see him just to please the media or the fans? I'm a 26 years and i'm a Ramones die-hard-fan since I was 10, and course I love Joey, but Johnny is right, he had the real Ramones integrity... (sorry about my english, I'm a brazilian..."

  • green day is alright, their ramones fans and marky likes them...

  • U2 is okay this is the only song i like but i could see someone dying to this song cos it says slow down my beating heart

  • RAMONES rocks!!!! U2 suck!!!!!

  • i know u2 suck, but this song is ok and also this was the last song joey listened to before he died

  • o come on U2 rocks-Bono looked up to the Ramones

i know this was the last song joey heard but c'mon how would it kill anyone?

  • R.I.P. Joey.
