That thing looks like it was intentionally covered in rust to keep it from rusting anymore...

it is a real late 1930 Unstyled John Deere D , if you say the serial # is 108156
1930 started at 95367
1931 started at 109944
Nice Video, i liked the no driver part, must have tigth steering to keep in the same path each time, It ideals nice too!

The first "primitive" form of auto-steer and it is pretty cost affective too! Right next to a bungee cord around the steering wheel and the seat frame.
