I just saw some of the game on youtube The title is the most offensive part (from what I saw) I wouldnt say this specific game is worth banning, but Im sure there are other games/cartoons out there that I think should be banned. Here is my two cents: I think that the game should be legal, and that there are no real problems with it.
I WOULD NEVER WANT TO PLAY IT. I think the concept it sick. I would feel ill playing it. However, it is a game. GTA is about murder and theft. COD is about murder, falsely portraying the military. A game such as this, no matter how sick I think it is to play it, is just the same.
There's a difference between reading about a crime, or watching crime on the stage and screen, and actually participating in such a crime; whether it be in real life, or in any other medium. Free speech is a wonderful thing, but so is probable cause... when properly applied.

The crime rape in Japan? Oh please, crime in Japan, while lower than many first world countries, has been increasing in the past decade. Besides, overall crime statistics has nothing to do with this. A very credible link between pornographic violence and sexual crimes has been demonstrated by many studies. Educate yourself and look it up before I waste any more of my breath. I play Street Fighter and Tekken, but just because I find it entertaining and fascinating to beat people up in the games doesn't mean I'd do it in real life.

The crime rape in Japan? Oh please, crime in Japan, while lower than many first world countries, has been increasing in the past decade. Besides, overall crime statistics has nothing to do with this. Rape statistics are the only relevant ones, and women being molested on trains is an overwhelming problem there. Curiously, that's exactly what you do in rape play. In 2007, a woman was raped in Japan on a train in earshot of 40 passengers and they did nothing. Crime rates my ass.

There is an estimated 10 times more rapes that go unreported in Japan than in the US because in Japanese culture rape victims are blamed and made to feel shame in Japan. That's why the 40 people on that train didn't do anything to help that girl. Japanese society is apathetic to rape. That's what a media that glamorizes sexual violence does to a culture. I have friends who have been to Japan and couldn't get a beer without seeing a comic book of a girl having her shirt ripped off. You're wrong.

A very credible link between pornographic violence and sexual crimes has been demonstrated by many studies. Educate yourself and look it up before I waste any more of my breath. Of course we shouldn't let children touch violent content until we, as responsible supervisors believe that the individual child is emotionally and developmentally capable of distinguishing between right and wrong. Social science shows us of course that there's a developmental stage where the difference cannot be made. It also shows us that there comes a time, different for every individual, where any kind of content is simple entertainment. Rape included.

Cuz this affects everyone's arguments. Rape statistics, are some of the worse Statistics on the planet. For example Saudi Arabia officially has the least rape of any country.
Statistics can only measure reported rapes, ontop of that a percentage of reported rapes are lies. How one defines rape can also wildly swing numbers as well. Consexual sex can be considered rape if alcohol was involved. Or someone can literally rape someone and have it not count. The subject lacks hard numbers.

It does however, by making rape an appropriate form of entertainment, desensitize our society and send a message that belittles and degrades rape and it's survivors.
