'Jyoti kalash Chhalke,hue gulabi laal sunehere rang dal baadal ke'

The song describes the hues of dawn

The early morning sun is akin to an urn that spills rays of light,

it makes the clouds look pink,red and golden

'Ghar aangan van upvan upvan,kartee jyoti amrit se sinchan,mangal ghat chhalke'

Houses,courtyards,gardens and forests

are all soaked in the pristine beauty of the light radiating from this pot(2)

anita1956 I would also advise you to listen to Shree Sudhir Phadke's Final Sradhanjali and you would understand how genious his compositions were and what a great singer he was...I feel sorry for you that made comments in ignorance...should get the facts right before commenting...try the aalaap Shree Phadkeji renders and compare with Lataji...you would find out who is the master...Lataji herself has said Shree Phadkeji created probably the best song of his career...god bless...

Reply to anita1956 Part 2: My dear it was only Shree Sudhir Phadke's genious that made Lataji render such a great song...and to to say that, I quote you, "There are too many shrutis in that one word, and Mr Phadke couldn´t reach that goal." shows your

absolute naivity. Jyoti Kalash was only Shree Sudhir Phadke's creation and not Lataji's - he made Lataji sing the hard way to achieve what he wanted...Lataji had greatest regard for Shree Phadkeji.

What a comment to make !..my dear anita1956 if Shree Sudhir Phadke had not composed this great song for Lataji you would not be talking about it today. He was not just a Marathi singer but soul of Marathi music and had composed many memorable Hindi song and Jyoti Kalash Chalke was one of them.
