They need to either completely redo AA3 or bring this back. i played the game since 1.5 i believe. This game WAS awesome. Weapons cache, radio tower, FLS assault were all great maps. I still do not know why they had to change the game. Nothing was wrong with it. But they did and from what I can tell they lost alot of gamers with it.

I've been playing this game since the first day it was released. Nickname was "Timo83". I stopped playing it around 2006-2007. Started it again in 2009, but never played AA3. Man, this game was pure fun. I played so many hours with my best friend. Really miss these days. Fav maps were Weapons Cache, Weapons Cache SE and Insurgent Camp.

I hated that map lol, always getting naded.

There are even servers online with respawn or random weapons or you can choose your own weapon

And the word on the street is there wont be any additions to content soon either, they switched dev teams for the game because they need to unfuck AA3.

But then again AA3 is the only AA game where you can unlock a weapon and use it in every damn mission if you so wish, whereas in AA1 and AA2 youre stuck getting whatever the stupid server gives you :(

AA3 sorta sucks, its slow to update your stats (means you dont get any more points so you can advance in training) and LOTS of the basic training missions are BLOCKED, and the Tier 2 and Tier 3 weapons training are BLOCKED and not even developed yet. And the game laggs like hell, and it takes 15 direct hits to kill an enemy, and bullet laggs (You shoot directly at a guy that walks like 5-6 miles per hour at 20 yards distance and the bullet hits like 1-2 yards behind) and the maps are boring.

Never played 2.8, or anything earlier than 3. But I got 3 things to say:

1. Turn off all special effects and use "setres 640x480" and it runs like a dream.

2. Version 3.0.7 is buggy as hell. weapons getting stuck to your eyes, or not being able to shoot or throw grenades and so on. plus the infamous stair leaning glitch on Bridge.

Far Cry 1 came out in 2004. Delta Force in the late 90s. You'd think the US army would sponsor for a sandbox shooter, with mountains, valleys and jungles, but no. :(
