Love it but pricey for my budget. The V6 has 305hp for 23k AND 30mpg...!! And its lighter than the V8 of course AND V6 camaro.

I think I would like the power of the lighter 305hp!

@StarringEverett I just saw a comparison between the v6 mustang, camero, and charger....I think it was on the speed channel last weekend...the mustang was smoking....camero was close....the charger was a joke. It was funny cause the host kept hitting on the point that ford would not let him actually drive the car he had to do a ride along.

I guess Ford's insurance started covering proctologists, because they found their heads finally, and they are letting go of the 4.6, Thank GOD. 18 years of R&D and it was just over 300 HP, this motor took 2 years. She is a bad mother, I don't like OHC V8's but this one makes me happy, 412HP, nothing but bearings flow over from the 4.6 POS's on this little cherry. I read the whole 19 pg article on it in 5.0, it's impressive.

Nice to see the 5.0 back, 14 years is a long time to wait, seems like Mustang fans were asking for the 5.0 in 96 when the 4.6 was first unveiled. Car sounds nice, like the shroud on the intake and strut tower brace. Can't wait to drive on, hopefully Ford dealers won't tack on a $5K or $10K adjusted market value on them

the 5.0 displacement is back not the old shitty pushrod design, it is based on a 4.6 and is DOHC not push rod the only similar thing between this motor and the 5.0 pushrod is displacement nothing else.

Yep, was commenting on the 5.0 as a name plate being back was never ment to imply the old push rod 2 valves per cylinder was coming back. With the CAFE standards for MPG I think push rod motors such as the LS3 in the Corvette and Camaro will soon be revised. I'm happy to see Ford putting more R&D and HP into the GT 412 hp is the most I can recall in a production Mustang GT, excited to see the HP numbers they have in mind for the GT500/Cobra or whatever they end up calling it.
