April Stevens did well with fellow singer Nino Tempo, but to me, her most expressive work was her solo career. Not the greatest at all, but her ability to wrap her voice around a song made listening to her VERY enjoyable. I spent a lot of teen fantasies in the early 60s with her!

@teoporta I found "Love Kitten" and "Teach Me Tiger" by her and wanted to find some more cat inspired songs so my friend downloaded one of her albums for me. And it was full of pleasant surprises - this song being one of them. But she's not at all famous in Slovenia. Is she at all famous in Italy? She had a famous collaboration with an Italian singer, didn't she? Someone called Nino, right?

@CanOnlyHappenToMe A year later, and you probably know this by now, but April's brother, Nino Tempo and she recorded as a duo in the '60s and '70s. Given names were Carol and Antonino LoTempio.
