Huh interesting. I never used the cameras as step stools to get across. You can actually jump onto the back ledge of the last door and walk that across over to the second button.

There's an easier way to get the second power thingy. Simply put a portal on the roof on the far side of the glass, so that it bounces off the angled wall below it and into the receiver doohickey. Might take a couple tries to place it right, but it works.

an easier way for the second ball bouncing thinger btw is to place the second portal on the floor below the glass and to place the companion ball about halfway over the portal and wait for the energy ball to come through, if done right then the ball will slightly bounce off and off the roof, like a pool trick shot ; )

It's under the "Bonus Chamber" option after you beat the normal game. Advanced Chamber 17 gives you a sphere instead of a box to make your life more difficult.

There's an easier way to get the second orb into the switch.. The one on the angle.. Instead of randomly hitting it with your "companion sphere". Place a portal to get it out of the hall (Obviously), then put the second portal on the ceiling beside the glass on the opposite side from the switch... Orb should just go down, bounce off the angle, and into the switch...
