hi Auntiji, Can u tell me how to make khoya for carrot halwa. Usualy i make it with half and half milk in a non stick kadai and keep mixing it for around 45 mins on medium - high heat. Can u please tell me a faster way? I also use this khoya for a muslim sweet. I don like buying khoya or paneer in indian grocery in US. So, Make it fresh at home. So, kindly suggest me a generic way of making khoya at home since my methode consumes more time. :-(
Elachi in english is Cardamon. In bangla we call elach. it has white brown sometimes green shell on out side and inside it has black seeds, that smells good.

Transciption:
Add the butter to the gram flour. Mix with the fingers. Get a texture of bread crumbs. Let set for 15 mins.
On mid-heat, mix the cream and milk pouder. Get a soft dough texture, about 3 mins. + 2 mins. Keep mixing. Took 6 mins. Put aside & let cool.
Add the milk to the gram flour mix. Mix well with fingers & palms. Let sit 10 mins.
Add this with the cardamom to the cream & mild pouder mix. Mix well & roast over mid-heat till it becomes light brown.
