iam a big googoosh fan but no i dont think this song is political at all... its definately a love song and its from a movie she did many many years ago which goes with the same name "pol" iam pretty sure

well at this point in time it does not seem as political but it was released in 1975 i believe and iran was going through a rough time that year and it has little hints in there directed at the goverment. youd have to be in 1975 to truly understand it.

well it has nothing to do with politics., Pol means bridge and the song is a meaning 2persons who love each other?..dont know but pol=bridge

YES!!! it has very much to do with politics. our younger generations don't understand it because they are not from that time. this song was released in 1974 or 1975 which during Iran was going through a very rough time. There are parts that indirectly refer or question the government at the time like "kasi beyade maryamhay parpar" which is why certain parts of this song were censored by the shah's goverment wen it first came out

To avoid riot it was very, very briefly censored. I always thought love is what this song is about.......the perception of what see as love is another perception.

I love you Googoosh. Even though I am 26 and left Iran 12 years ago. I still listen to these songs and it brings tear to my eye, hoping someday in my lifetime, Iran will be like it was befroe 1979, and we can all go back and see our families and our beautiful country :(
