hm... sieht ja eigentlich gar nich so schwer aus :D hast du dazu noch ein unterkleid? Der Musselinteil ist ja dann doch etwas durchsichtig. Wie haben die das denn damals gemacht, hatten die noch ein Unterkleid drunter oder einfach den MUsselinstoff doppelt und dreifach genäht, bis es blickdicht war? O.o aaach manno, jetzt ist das doch nicht mehr einfach :(
@captainlinalalaine Also prinzipiell brauchst du für drunter nur einen Petticoat also ein ähnlich geformtes Unterkleid und ein schlichtes Unterhemd, Chemise oder Shift genannt. Theoretisch ginge noch eine weiche Form des Korsetts ähnlich nem BH, ist aber nicht zwingend notwendig.
Ist schon recht durchsichtig das stimmt, als die Mode in Frankreich anfing gabs auch noch nicht wirklich so viel Unterkleidung dafür, das haben die Engländer aber nicht lange mitgemacht ;)
You are a very talented seamstress! I think it is wonderful that you are making a dress from a pattern that you made yourself. On the back of my Regency gown, I added a placket to the raw edge of the fabric where I cut the dress open. A placket is like bias tape, however it is a wider piece that I cut from the fabric that I used for my gown. It is an easier alternative, however your way looks neater when looking at the inside. Your gown looks lovely. I can't wait to see the finished product.
@handyvideos0lol Soweit ich weiß ist 'Empire' zumindest im Deutschen die Bezeichnung für die gesamte Epoche, im Englischen wird allerdings zwischen Empire, Regency und Directoire unterschieden, aber zwischen denen sind die Grenzen fließend. Oft wird im Englischen aber auch 'Regency' als Bezeichnung für die gesamte Zeitspanne zwischen 1780 und 1920 verwendet, was die Sache nicht gerade vereinfacht... fand ich persönlich leicht verwirrend o.o

@Goldkehlchen20 that would be awsome lol but I'm so bad at sewing. I took a class once in high school and I failed. But you helped my imagination allot on the patherns so I can practice when I have the right energy to sew (and hopefully not ruin anymore facric lol)
