  • Edin-burrow...

  • what was the name she stole lol

  • @earnamint

What a delusional, sad, waste of space you are.

I suggest you shut that lying hole under your nose before JK Rowling and Warner Bros sue your arse back to the stoneage, for slander.

  • thumbs up if u r the 104,860th viewer

  • OMG why the hell is this girl doing the voiceover :o

  • Elizabeth Vargus has done a good job running commentary. Jo Rowling is not the original author of the story of Harry Potter! I am the original creator of the Harry Potter stories. My name is Gregory Ronald Simcock. My work got stolen from my home in the early 1990's. You have been following the life of a plagiarist. In this video segment Rowling says she stole a name for Harry Potter! She was in a church when she said that! read more truths at artifacts.yolasite.com and at mylord.amplify.com

  • @earnamint Are you the dude who inspired Gilderoy Lockhart?

  • @TS001Author Are you an author, or a smart arse? If you are an author then you will know what a plagiarist is. If you are a smart arse then perhaps you will just want to put your mark on this column for no more than to be a nuisance. On the other side of smart-arse and author there is the smart-arse author who thinks he or she can taunt a genuine creator and not care that he lost his work to a plagiarist... and while doing no harm gets visited by a friend who just happens to ask "What's this"!

  • @earnamint Retard she said she stole A name meaning its someone name in the book that she probably used and it was probably about you, most likely Gildeory Lockhart

  • @LantaNoisette Whom do you hate? Rowling or the Elizabeth Vargus?

    Poem

    The Liar Bird

(From the “Original”creator of Harry Potter)

There was a Harry Potter lier bird, born without feathers,

that lived far across the sea.

Away from the creator of a wonderful world,

about a wizard boy named Harry Potter, a he...

I didn't write the poem to infuriate anyone. I write to quell my discontentment of not being credited with the stories and inventions I created. The poem is true. You may find the poem, and some other information, on jkrawling.tumblr.com

  • The Harry Potter story has been marketed by a shroud of secrecy as to its real origin from the time it got into the hands of an imposter who claims to be the author. She is not the creator of the bulk of the stories. I am.I created the many main names, characters, creatures, and features present in the films I have watched of the series. My stylized initials can be seen in the title name of films in the name "Harry Potter". G is in "Ha" of Harry. S is in "Po" of Potter. The Liar Bird is a poem.

  • Jo Rowling "Did-Not" create the Harry Potter story! Find out the "Truth" to the origins of Harry Potter. I can tell you, as I am the "Original-creator"! Rowling say's, in this video; "Arr, it's a name I stole, for Harry Potter, for an unpleasant character as well. Hide the book. Lock it away!" Harry Potter was of my original creation. I could not publish or have the series produced after my work on its construction got stolen - from my Australian home. See JKRawling.tumblr.com - "The Liar Bird"!

  • I agree with all of u who hate this woman. She is soooo insincere, i bet she hasn't even read the books.

  • @LantaNoisette You don't have to read the books if you wrote them.

  • @veronica101x I have a feeling she was talking about Elizabeth Vargus.

  • 5:51 I bet the name was Gilderoy Lockhart.

  • "Edinburrow" Damn Americans!

  • @classictvguy1 "Hairy Pottar"

  • Holy shit me and j.k. Rowling have a lot of similarities in our life.

  • Justin Beiber made 11 accounts and disliked this vid

  • @kiwigirl1100 He prolly likes Twilight a lot!

  • Christ, this woman bugs me! She gets her facts wrong and then dumbs things down to such a degree that I just want her to stop talking. And another thing, "all us trivia buffs" already know that she doesn't have a middle name and that the K stood for her grandmother's name, Kathleen - bit late jumping on this bandwagon...

  • Comment removed

  • That's not a very convincing answer to the God-question.. :)

  • 2:08 is so interesting and revealing.

  • @NoobTwinz5

    No it isnt

  • i wonder what name she "stole" from the book in the church :)

  • @Elodiron me too, i was looking at the comments to see if anyone mentioned it. hahah

  • Elizabeth Vargas might be reading from a teleprompter or something else written out for her to say or she might have written her own script, but either way she should know JK Rowling wanted to write for a long time, not just "simply decided one day." But anyways, love the books!

  • I thought Jk Rowling was a boy when I first red the books, then my teacher showed me a picture and I said " he's a woman!?" LOL I can't believe I fell for the trick...

  • lol when she finds the name in the guestbook!

  • Her life story is so touching

  • Edinborough and JK Rolling?

  • @CallingAllCappers Yes, it is pronounced "Rolling"....

  • At least she pernounces Rowling propperly... xD

  • Thanks for posting this!

  • I'm just going to ignore the voiceover. They seem to paint a very different narrative than what she actually expresses...

  • Okay guys, I'm very sorry that Elizabeth Vargus is doing a freakin voice over that is pissing EVERY (I mean EVERY) single one of you....

  • This documentary is also available in disc 2 of harry potter

and the half blood prince blu-ray 2 disc special edition.

But narrator is a british and entirely original.

  • @moonlolz feeling proud now? you need to learn to be respectful and let people have opinions. it's fine if you think a certain way, but that does not mean you have to force that opinion on someone else until they say you are right. there is no wrong and right in this argument, it's a matter of opinion. IAmAGiantDuck did not even insult you, i suggest you learn some manners and do the same.

  • "That was a name I stole for Harry Potter ... It was an unpleasent character as well" ... For some reason, I'm just thinking "Petunia" xD <3

  • fringe is British for bangs... :|

  • @Lightarise Its called an accent ...seriously? 9__9

  • 2:10 mastermind. :L

  • I really like her personality.

  • Harry Potter not Hairy Podder

  • Does anyone else find it funny how she pronounces Harry Potter the first time she says it? It's like "Hairy paderrr"

  • @missgracegallagher hahahaha omg

  • Fringe is British for Bangs -_-

  • @Lightarise biggot.

  • My name is Greg Simcock. Writer: J.K. Rawling! I am the creator of the Harry Potter concept and stories. What "You" have seen is work Jo Rowling wrote of My stories that took me ~17 years to construct! !t all got stolen from my home in Australia. I have posted details of this theft and yet people are so blind they they just don't see the truth. I will only tell you the truth. My life has been devoted to designing and creating inventions and stories. Learn the truth at: mylord.amplify.com

  • I love the question and answer period from 2:10- 2:56.

  • i love it how they feel the need to point out that 'fringe is british for bangs'

  • She is absolutely inspiring

  • I think the unpleasant person she stole the name from was Gilderoy Lockhart.

  • ABC basically cut out James Runcie's voice and re-worded EVERYTHING that he said. I've already seen this interview and all they did was edit him out. Shame...

  • I cried reading that book

  • i love harry potter i love JK rowling

  • The mispronunciation of Edinburgh throughout this really bothered me... it's Ed-in-bur-uh not Ed-in-bu-ro... >:(

  • @Iodine24 Didn't mean to upset anyone! It just bothered me... I enjoyed the videos themselves. :)

  • @xnataliekate It's alrite. lol.

  • @Iodine24 calm down, all she did was say there was a mispronounciation...

  • @abiii321 Yeah, I know, per my recent comment! :D

  • @xnataliekate Thank american arrogance for that--just like when they continue to pronounce it Rao-ling instead of Rowling

  • @xnataliekate

Wow I bet you never mispronounced anything. It's not as if Edinburgh matters as a city I'm not being a bitch.

  • @moonlolz What do you mean it's not as if Edinburgh matters as a city?

  • @IAmAGiantDuck

Uhm, that Edinburgh doesn't matter as a city? Compared to London, Paris, New York, what is it REALLY?

  • @moonlolz It's called home to thousands of people! God, a little respect and consideration please.

  • @moonlolz As RuebsChemRb says it matters to a lot of people, including me. Edinburgh matters very much as a city, for example it's home to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the world's largest arts festival. It is also Scotland's capital and not to mention Hogwarts is mainly inspired by places in Edinburgh. It is often described as the most beautiful city in world, I mean how many cities do you know that have a castle on it's main shopping street? Have some respect please.

  • @IAmAGiantDuck

Wow, how impressive. An arts festival. However, I haven't heard of an Edinburgh Fashion Week lately. I wonder why! Speaking of, when I went to Edinburgh, the only places i found to shop were Harvey Nichols (pretty good, but not as well-stocked as London's!), a tiny Louis Vuitton that didn't sell any ready-to-wear and a medium-sized Emporio Armani.

The castle is just an ugly eyesore. Tear it down.

  • @moonlolz Now we both know a city doesn't need a fashion week to matter. Now go annoy someone else.

  • @IAmAGiantDuck

But I just demonstrated that your city doesn't matter. Learn to deal. :-)

  • @moonlolz And I was just disagreeing with you. :)

  • @IAmAGiantDuck

But you're wrong and I'm right. :-) It's like disagreeing that 2 + 2 = 4. Perhaps you should go and stare at your ugly pile of rocks for inspiration to argue with my further?

  • @moonlolz Who said I was right?? I am merely stating my opinion. If you think I'm wrong that is fine but I disagree with you strongly. And you're making no sense;

    "To argue with my further?"

Now if you excuse me I must go stare at a pile of ugly rocks. :)

  • @IAmAGiantDuck

I was pointing out that you're wrong, and so stating "I disagree!" is pretty redundant.

It's cute that you have to stoop to pointing out minuscule typos because you have nothing to defend your shitty little city with. ;-)

  • @moonlolz I getting bored now. I have better things to do. What I'm saying basically is stop saying things that upset people. Now stop.

  • @IAmAGiantDuck

Clearly you don't if you're still responding.

I'll say it again: Edinburgh is a non-city and irrelevant. Oops! Are you going to stop me?

  • @moonlolz No I'm not :)

  • @IAmAGiantDuck

    Backing down? Fag.

  • @moonlolz Whoa that's totally unnecessary!! Why are you even saying that? Stop hating, go hug some puppies or something. Settle right down.

  • @IAmAGiantDuck

Only a degenerate like you would suggest bestiality. Ew!

  • @moonlolz Ew!! You are disgusting, I'm 13 and I didn't even know what that mean't!!! I hope you are ashamed. Leave me alone now. Stop hating and find something better to do. Hugging isn't sexual anyway!! So what are you talking about? You are a bigot and I hope live a very unhappy life.

  • @moonlolz I HAVENT READ NONE OF YOUR COMMENTS BUT I HAVE A NEGATIVE FEELING ABOUT U ,, AND THAT BEING SAID SHUT THE F*CK UP ! THANK YOU :) HAVE A NICE DAY.

  • @sexi2rude1

If you're so angry, you obviously did read the comments. :p You lying whore.

  • @moonlolz DIDNT I TELL U SHUT THE F*CK UP ??? GO EAT A DICK AN HAVE A NICE DAY HATER!

  • @sexi2rude1

Why would I do what you tell me? You're fat!

  • J.K Rowling is my all time favorite author. She is so creative and beautiful. She made reading fun for me.

  • It brings back memories based on the last few sentences. I thought for a very short while that Jk rowling was a boy! I also pronounced the last name wrong. I love Harry potter.

  • @Brady2k10 - Tolkien established (And some may say crystallized) the archetypes of characters that are followed by most, if not all modern fantasy fiction. Good luck finding any work from after 1960~1970 that do not use those.

  • hating a copycat isnt hard for me, dobby = gollum, dumbledore = gandalf, harry = frodo (just added the wizard instead of the hobbit, no big thing there, anyone could have done that) and so much more are blatantly taken from lord of the rings and im just appalled really that know one seems to notice this, shes taken Tolkeins work and twisted it slightly, its true i do like the harry potter films, and its a good twist on things, but shes still a dam thief. Ron = samwise gamgee the best friend

  • @Brady2k10 So what. You can compare a million stories and a lot of them will have similarities in one way or another. It doesn't mean the authors blatantly stole ideas from other works. 80 percent of ideas are recycled over and over again anyway. don't waste your time being upset over it.

  • This video about the author ought to shut up those Fundementalist Bible Bangers who forbid their kids to read her works. She was the only one in her family to attend church and baptised at 11. When pressed to say if she believed in God, she said hesitantly yes. she struggles with some of the beliefs she admits. And don't we all as christians if we are honest. She says her books mostly are about good fighting evil. Yeah, those bible thumpers speak before investigating.

  • It's pronounced Edinnbuorouh not "edinbjurrow"

  • What's the quality you most like in a man? Joanne Rolling's Answer: Morals. Rowling has kept from "You" the "true-origins" of the Harry Potter stories and its material that formed it! You were never told the real true origins of Harry Potter! The reason is: Because the story was created by an Australian man named Gregory Ronald Simcock! It got stolen! That is correct information. Read about Harry Potter's origin at; mylord.amplify.com. The story was "designed" to teach and inspire people.

  • 17 years, good and evil. Yes it did take that to build the concept of Harry Potter, but Joanne Rowling did "Not" originate the story! I created the Harry Potter story and designed seven title names, as published! Read my posts on mylord.amplify.com. I was a cinema projectionist for nine years, in the Australian Army, and while I was in a powerful military environment I spent much time conceiving the stories that became the Harry Potter series. Rowling wrote-up what was already well designed!

  • i just wanna say hooray for the UK and to Jorge arentes i bet you must be somewhere crying, whining to why you ever treated this extraordinary women that brought wonderful, wonderful, wonderful magic into this world.

THANK YOU J. K. ROWLING THANK YOU SO MUCH

    behalf

me and the entire fans of your creation :)

  • Hold on!! I have this documentary on my dvd, but that's a guy named James Runcie who is talking and not a woman... Why??

  • OMG Owls!

  • Thank you humans of this great planet Earth for taking something as simple as how different people express themselves and making it a huge debate. We have a great knack for becoming more and more divided, instead of sticking together. Yes, we learned a lot from J. K. Rowling's books, thank you very much.

  • anyone else think she's an absolute milf??

top woman been reading these books since i were a little kid..i still read the whole series every year and im almost 19 lol...

  • Sure I want and 8th book too but 7 is a luck number,a strong number and in the books, they key. So i think it's just right to have 7 books.

  • I could've swore that I saw a last name that was Lestrange.

  • You gotta love Rowling, shes such a darling, great pure heart and offcourse a brilliant mind!

  • i wonder if the name was Tom Riddle? :)

  • lol "it's the name i stole for a Harry Potter character" :D love her!

  • We all praise her for her good work. But how many of us know what lies behind that brain and heart of hers. It could be pain, it could be a lot of things. But she is able to channel all of that and produce something so whole, so "magical", its awesome! We NEED an 8th book!!!!! Can't WAIT till DHP2. Still, I think the movies don't do the book justice. No actor can portray the characters as Rowling does.

  • @Iodine24 The actors and actress' who play the trio, Dumbledore, and Draco Malfoy do a pretty good job, it's the directors who don't do the films justice. Whenever I imagine the trio, I imagine Dan Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint. Whenever I imagine Draco, I imagine Tom Felton. Whenever I imagine Dumbledore, I imagine Michael Gambon. I'm sure I left out some great actors and actress' from the films. Overall, I agree that the films don't do the novels justice.

  • i dont understand y they needed an american to do the voiceovers, it was done by a British presenter. its kinda insulting, like their trying to say the american public cant understand a British accent. its the same way they changed the books to 'fit' the american readers, calling the philosophers stone the sorcerers stone and changing things like torch to flashlight and pavement to sidewalk within the books. americans arnt stupid im sure they would have still understood the books - annoying!

  • @osehietomi123 Oh don't be such a sensitive baby. There's nothing insulting about it at all. They were presenting it to an American audience, and are interested in promoting their news figures. Aside from viewers, they gain nothing if they leave the original filmmakers voice in it. By placing one of their own, they advertise that face and their brand name to the audience and increase the likelihood of retaining viewers on future episodes.

  • @LandonHarrisMusic I'm not being sensitive just making an observation, j k rowling herself said that one of her biggest regrets is allowing her editor talk her into making those changes i talked about before. What I'm trying to say is it should be presented the way it was intended in the first place, that way the brand and the show maintain it's integrity. And as you said yourself they gain nothing if they left the original voice, so then why change it?

  • LOLOL that's a name I stole for Harry Potter for an unpleasant character. LOL

  • thank you so much for the upload! i love the quality of it! thank you!

  • @231thedream Your welcome!

  • does anyone know which name she stole from the book?

  • @pickmelast I feel like it might be Dolores? Other "unpleasant" character names aren't quite usually used names. :P

  • My mom has MS too. It can be very difficult to be raised by a parent with MS.

It affects so many parts of the body including the brain. needless to say because of it my mom is not all there in the head and ends up being abusive for no apparent reason

  • OH MY GOSH PEOPLE, its pronounced Edin-bruh. Not edinburrow.

  • "whats your favorite occupation?" what kind of question is that?

  • @njmalone26 .... the kind of questions people ask when there writing a documentary..... they get as many questions in as they find necessary. why do you care?

  • @Th3R34LR47 haha just cause she's the most successful female writer of all time and the only person to become a billionaire because of books. Seems kind of redundant. Not trying to troll just thought it was a bit strange to ask that question.

  • @njmalone26 I guess i see where your coming from. but how do we know she didn't like something more then writing. maybe she had other dreams. i guess that's why he asked it at the beginning. I do think it was slightly redundant as well but you don't know if you don't ask

  • @Th3R34LR47 That is true. However considering how famous she is and how famous her rags to riches story is it feels like the question could have been filled with a more thought provoking one for ms. rowling. Like "Favorite Author" or "What work inspired you to become a writer"

  • @njmalone26 touche' You obviously know much more about Her then i do. Point taken I'm going to have to agree with you.

I think this might be the first time i've had a comment back and forth with someone on youtube without them trolling out on me about off topic things. I'll be leaving this video now. But.... Props for not being the typical youtube jackass. Take care. lataaaaaa

  • @Th3R34LR47 The reason were not trolling is because the is on a video about one of the most esteemed writers of all times :)

  • @Th3R34LR47 plus she defied her parents in university to become a writer. J.K. also kept writing during poverty.

  • Book readers, check this amazing website: LoveAHappyEnding (dot) com

  • "Fringe is the British for bangs" - never understood why you lot call it 'bangs', it's a fringe!

  • LOL - i love it - 'fringe' is british for 'bangs' ;D I love how random words of the english language are just randomly changed by americans - it's so weird:')

  • Why is the original just dubbed over with an American person? "Edinburow"? English??

  • I'm guessing the name she stole was Dursley or possibly Malfoy.

  • It was Bellatrix :) x

  • J. K. Rowling 'I love you!

You gave a whole society was pleased to find a world inexplicably fantastic!

Thank you for sharing with us this incredible world.

    l love you

  • What was the name she stole, did anyone see?

  • @hissybitch They didn't show the page. :P

  • New life goal: Go to Saint Luke's church and take pictures of her signatures in that book X)

  • @BlackandWhiteScarf ...and then match the image paused at 5:50 to the page and see if any of the names match with the characters from the series

i wonder if they still have the book set out in the church like that and if so, how many signatures are in there from the time she was 12?

  • Now I'm curious about the name she stole...

  • From a British ear, the woman who is commentating speaks hilariously weird :P

  • I love you J.K. Rowling..You've totally made my childhood..<3

  • i wrote a follow on of the series (an eighth book)

  • @mucker137 I figure about half of her fanbase has. The other half wrote prequels about the marauders ;)

(seriously, the whole potter universe is one big playground for fanfiction)

  • This woman is the one who started me writing. I love her.

  • J.K you are a true inspiration to everyone. Your books aren't just about fighting they are about good and evil , friendship, love , life and death. The Harry Potter series are incredible and have made my life worth livng. I hope that in the future you will make more of them , hopefully about James and Lily and the Maraunders or the next generation. I hope that one day i can meet you and tell you this in person. Your a true inspiration, i hope you know that. <3

  • 'Fringe is british for bangs'.

Is there anywhere we can watch the version aired in England? I'm fed up of the American accent and I am only tolerating it because I'm interested -.-

  • Why did James Runcie get replaced? This doesn't have the same effect as the original documentary.

J.K. Rowling, you are an incredible woman.

  • i have literally read her books hundreds of times and for every night have gone to sleep to the harry potter book on tapes since i was 9 , and i am 17 now and still do it!!! i am still finding new things, these books are so layered , and have the best morals thank you so much Jo Rowling!!!

  • This woman changed my life.

  • Comment removed

  • i love you J.K .you are truly magical

  • Maan, I wish there was a forest near me. I've always loved them, but I'm never around them :-(

  • I love her. I have read her books more time than I have fingers and toes multiplied by fourteen. When I say I am her biggest fan, I mean it. I have them practically memorized. Jo Rowling is amazing. I want more than anything in this world, besides to have world peace and all that crap ;), to meet her. :)

  • Thank you sincerely Jo, for making me literate. :D

  • I love how when fans meet JKR for the first time they say things like, "You look really nice, Jo!" instead of the typical "ZOMG I LUV YUUU!!!1!!1!ONE!"

We are the most courteous fandom ever! XD

  • i wish hogwarts was real.

  • lol who was the person's name she stole?

  • @cagdog123 She didn't steal it. She used her favorite grandmother's last name as her middle because her publisher wanted her to have her initials and last name printed, but she was born without a middle name.

  • @epikarrow07 well I know that! I was talking about the characters name she stole out of that book.....

  • @cagdog123 I think I heard her mutter "Bellatrix" when reading the ledger but I can't be sure! ;)
