Can you fit in vertically a D700 with 24-70 2.8 VR + hood attached on it?

@davsscom yea, but its a tight fit, you have to extend the straps and it may become top heavy. ive i need to carry the d700/24-70 with the hood on, i take out the dividers and lay the camera and lens on its side. you can configure it however you like.

Just brought this bag too, how do I stop using the Velcro and just use the straps/clips?You mention Velcro silencers, do these come with the bag or purchase separately?

@aidanhill If you run your finger along the long edge, you'll notice its a flap tucked under the velcro. Just pull it out and secure it on the outside.

@TeddyImSuff Sorry, i dont have the grip to test out. I guess you could always put it in unattached? And, ive heard people using the D3 type bodies with this bag as well. So, it might work out, but, it will be a very tight fit i suspect.
