  • Smooth riding

  • Haha funny when you start creepin up on the cars you should have flown up next to the window haha

  • lol chasing vehicles!

  • Hi, a question:

what you are using a video camera for video?

    The quality is pretty neat.

With my camera I always have a flickering and flickering in the video when I fly with brushless or brushed.

Tell me your exact name of your camera.

    Thanks ...

    Greetings from Germany, Steven

  • @TTGo910 The flickering is interference, Mikey recorded this flight on board so theres no interference.

  • Is there any way I can connect my sky runner nine eagles controller to connect to another receiver? if so how to do that?

  • @petritwow I don't know what transmitter you have but IF it's on the same frequency and the transmitter coding is the same then it will work. But it won't be east to find a receiver that will work. I reccomend just buying a decent quality TX / RX combo.

  • @MikeysRC but that costs money and when I wanted to buy the parts and the transmitter in a store they convincet me of buying a 100 euros plane thats only 3 channels>.> with a transmitter with 4 channels... and I only flew it 15 seconds... and now the batterie wont charge!

  • The camera in this is very good. What is it and where did you get it from?

I am looking at various ones, but no one seems to show the type of picture you get on the adverts.

  • @jayc004 It's a sony bloggie.

  • goooooooooooooooooood

  • dear miky,

can you show us exactly how to make this plane? PDF plans would be nice but a video would help as well, also i love your helicopters and all your scrtch built planes. you single handedly have inpired me to make a 450 helicopter and want to make this very plane! Thanx

    best regards Theguitarguy321! cheers!!

  • this is a good one, it flies very stable and smooth, perfect for filming on a plane. i´ll try to build this one too. you got a plan of them?

    thx for posting.

  • how much is this airplane?

and how far can this airplane go?

  • @satvikjadhav4 This plane is not for sale. It can go about 2000 feet high and fly for about 10 minuets.

  • how much is this airplane?

  • Great pictures, man.

  • is it possible to use 2 batts as 1

  • dude! awesome landing

  • Are the plans up for this one? I ve just finished my Hybrid Sport trainer I am waiting for the wind to slow down. We have 25 mph gusts for 2 weeks now. As Soon as It slows down try my new Hybrid Sport trainer. I ve already built 2 of Mikeys plans. Sport trainer and P51. I love the P51 Its screaming fast. Sport trainer is very stabil and with correct battery and power combination it will fly about 20 mins at once or at least mine does.

  • Great project ! Nice videos

  • Nice video. What camera did you use? I going to use a Vado HD in one of my planes.

  • great video love it.

  • Nice quality! What kind of camera do you use ?

Keep up the good work! ;)

    Norway.

  • Great flight. tough break on packing the car.

I'm impressed with your being able to keep the right plane attitude when flying so high; I'd lose orientation of the plane without it being FPV.

Are both motors always given the same amount of input, or can you give more power to one or the other? Do they both run off the same ESC, or do they each have their own? Same question with Battery.

    Thanks for the video!

PS - did you try bamboo skewer before the carbon fiber rod?

  • @GobGregores Well the stability of the video is a testament to the stability of the plane. It requires little pilot input for cursing around. But it was squinting to see the orientation so far away. Check out the drop down video info to answer your other questions. The wing it too big and has too much loading for BBQ skewers to really kelp much.

  • @MikeysRC ahhhh cursing? Or cruising? I didn't know the plane was hurling insults.

  • It sounds like it's turbine powered, how much did it cost you to build it?

  • @mgrande11 About $10 in materials for the airframe and about $130 in electronic parts...not including the transmitter and receiver.

  • Yet another great Vid Will ..... ;o)

  • wait a minute, you live in east bay?

  • @wasifyar yeah =)...you too?

  • Nice flight, Will. Great view from above. Where is this place?

  • @dietcoke1996 It's a small town east of the SF bay area

  • nice flight man.

  • really nice Will she flys so well or you just make it look like that . think im gonna make the changes to the ST with the full boddy and the full wing as you have there. but just the one prop. do you think the wing would be even better if i made with a bottom part on it aswell ?

  • @amxen1 Yeah if you fully "box" the wing it should be an even better airfoil.

  • OMG this is awesome. The mist over the hillsides are burned away by the morning sun. Just an incredible view! And easier than your pilot's license, haha. Can't wait for more!

  • Very nice plane and video. Some of the video reminds me of the movie broken arrow where you see a bird's eye view of the missle as it travels. Really cool!!!

  • Excellent footage. What part of the country do you live in Mikey? That's some beautiful countryside you have there.

  • @lisarenee3505 Cal I forn I A =)

  • Great flight. I watched all of it. Aerial footage is soo much better with high resolution *and* wide angle just like this.

  • nice

  • 4:20 "honey, something is following us."

  • should ,ake a bomb dropper and fill it with bird poo and drop it on the car at 4;30. btw thanks for the exceed rc tx help. my exi 500 and 250 fly way better.

  • Nice job Will! Looked like a georgeous morning for flying.

  • Been a while comin Will but it's been worth the wait. You really gotta be happy with the results - Congratulations - A trully awesome and inspiring vid - I've just added an HD cam to my never ending list of 'wants'. Looking forward with anticipation to the next 'in-flight'

  • Can you build me one? lol. Ill send $100 and the servos. Ill put on the motors and stuff. lol. So what motors and escs did u use? They look like turnigys?

  • @RedDevilSquadron Hmmm shipping might be a problem....but sorry no time for custom builds right now. Read the drop down video info to see what parts I used.

  • @MikeysRC alright. Just a possibility. Lol. Cool plane though!

  • my impression, nice scenery then you look back at that big development ruined it for me. keep it up

  • I must say.... really nice vid there Will...... I love that cam. What cam are you using in this vid?????

  • brilliant! great vid.

  • Mikey what a spectacular HD video, can you please tell us what FPV kit you use and where can I buy one from?

  • @LTF85199 My FPV gear is on the 900Mhz band. Too bad I can't post links on my own Youtube videos..but go to my website and go to my "Store" page and you will see my affiliate Future Hobbies dot com CLick on his link and it will take you to his site where you can buy all sorts of quality FPV gear.

  • @MikeysRC great, thanks buddy

  • Great vid! The low level proximity flying was very cool. Be interesting to see how far you'll go with the FPV set up.

Also, I second the twins sounding awesome.

  • wow Will what a steady shot! smooth as glass nice build. you know your gonn have to make plans for this one everyone will want one.

p.s. the twin motor des sound awsome.

  • Hey Mikey,

Is it possible to show me a detailed view of your wing.

In all your previous video series, we've made the simple kinda wings, i just want to learn how you did that.

I tried making one like that with the 9 mm depron i have but It cracked.

    Yeah it did.

So i was just wondering if you can show a little video describing your wing

  • @whyisheleavingme Best thing to do is watch my weekly live chat so I can show you live how I did it. But it's pretty easy. Cut out a big rectangle....make 3 scores about 1.5 inches apart on one side of the wing. Then flex all these cuts to make a curved shape to the wing. Then cut out several wing ribs to help it hold it's shape. ALSO DON'T use depron...it is not as tough as foam board like I use. I also reinforced this wing with a carbon fiber rod.

  • love the shots when you follow cars. It's like a Hollywood panning shot.

  • @Tabbyf =) Yeah I love those shots too. I thought I was closer to the cars actually. Hopefully next time I don't forget my FPV stuff and I can get closer.

  • very nice will. love the low level shots and chasing the cars. what is the make and model of your camera? is it heavy?

    thx

  • If all those people weren't crammed in that small area you would not have that nice open space to fly. Your videos are always the best! Love the fact you show your fails too.Watch for snakes.lol

  • Your flying is so good that it seemed like you were flying by FPV! Beautiful location too:) Just one thing I think you should look into is adding music to your videos. Especially during these long flight scenes, something calming and reflective adds much. I happened to be listening to Pandora when I opened your video, and the song, "Tell Me A Lie" by Griffin House, worked great (look into it, it's a real cool song). The whine of the engine should be kept in the back round though. --Sunny, NY

  • Cool vid, weird how there is all that space and still, people are crammed in like sardines in small areas.

  • @Skydive4ever True but then it leaves lot's of space to fly over =)

  • @MikeysRC I like the way you think ;-) I see some small hills in the distance, would be good for slope soaring :-)

  • Realy nice plane it flies and glides realy well . The video quality is outstanding . Was it hard to align the two motors . I find it dificult with just one motor . Is one motor reversed to counteract tork steer

  • @michaelrc1 I just use my eye ball to get the motor mound straight. It does tale a little care and skill as you have to do is as the glue is cooling very quickly. I only have to bend one of the motor mounts a little to get her to be perfectly straight. Both props and motor s are spinning the same way. I really don't have a problem with torque steer.

  • @MikeysRC So that is how torque is spelt

  • @MikeysRC You went upsidedown and everything why when I try to use airlerons on my balsa plane it plumits twoards the ground

  • @michaelrc1 Not sure....a plane crashing has nothing to do with it being balsa.

  • Nice flight with beautiful scenery! Where are you flying?

  • @being2036 @michaelrc1 It's a small town east of the SF bay area.

  • That is awesome!

  • kwl
