Tidbit about the spirit forges, in case you don't know: Later on, when you get the power to control minds, you can make other people go to the forges and sacrifice *their* blood for items, which kills them and returns you to your own body. Neat (if twisted).

After you drink from a certain blood fountain your strength increases and you can push stones.

Again the women attack. And they had a torture room in the Brothel which isn't nearly as surprising as the other secret... Huh, that's creepily interesting.

Yeah, I thought that was weird too, but it IS a brothel. People were into S&M even in the middle ages, so I guess it shouldn't be too surprising. The "HELP" written in blood is a nice touch.

Blood Omen has a lot of disturbing little extras like this. One I remember in particular was a backroom in a butcher shop. Where the meat was apparently stored, a bunch of humans were chained to the walls . . .
