I believe that you are correct. They used a Pit Bull in a famous poster. You may have also heard of Sargent Stubby, a famous and several times decorated Pit Bull in WWI. He was credited with saving many US lives by alerting them of gas attacks. He also captured a spy.

By the way, Caillech's outfit was far less then $150,000 Palin spent on her outfits. Caillech's makeup cost $6 and her collar was $10. Now that's the kind of fiscal control we could use in DC. Vote for Caillech !!!!
Palin didnt spend the money. the clothes were provided for her. it was bs and campaign smears. Your dog looks like a boxer/pit bull mix as well. As a gun owner i would think you would prefer Palin over a democrat who is against gun ownership. I agree with you the pitbull would be the best mascot for the Marine corps I think the U.S used a pitbull as a mascot in ww1
