@ems810 Erm chidori went through his defense in the early episodes and Rasengan is much more powerful. His defense is good against most medium and lights but against one like that his basic sand shield can't handle it.
@elborichino13 that's because lee is only capable of using taijutsu. Naruto used rasengan(a ninjutsu) to break through gaara's sand guard,and when naruto broke through he landed a punch on him.

That training with Jiraiya made Naruto much stronger, while Gaara, though considerably stronger than he was as a Genin, is no longer even in the same league as Naruto. Naruto would defeat him every time.

Gaara and Tsunade know that Kakashi has a self-destruct seal placed on himself in case the villain of the story tries to absorb him for the Sharingan. In this fight, Naruto is trying to convince Gaara that Kakashi is worth saving.

Yeah, it would. Sasuke's Chidori was enough to penetrate Gaara's Sand Barrier. Maybe Gaara managaed to get the sand more dense and compact to make it more powerful...but I still think the Rasengan by itself would've worked.
It is not standard, it is not usual fun, it is something more...that I just can't describe.. You must see this to understand my feelings. It is just great up from this director. Gaara is not weak at all. They just make Naruto get another 'emotional power-ups' in this battle.
He's still powerful enough even among other Kages at age 15. Like Naruto, Neji, and Sasuke, he's a battle genius. He has yet to have much experience in battle.
I think it's more to do with Gaara not wanting to kill Naruto. Of course, neither was Naruto but he was showing more seriousness in this battle than Gaara.

Man I hate Naruto as much as I hate Goku. They suck!! Why can't Gaara be the strong one here? And why does Vegeta always get beat up? It's ridiculous. It's like both Akira Toriyama and Masashi Kishimoto take stupid pills while creating the storyline, because it just doesn't make sense!! >.<"

@TheSakuraStrength its a movie kishimoto has no control over the movie. plus naruto is the main character hence the name of the show NARUTO its not gaara. the main character has to overcome a tough challenge at some point

@TheSakuraStrength why you callin me a dumbass for !? i dont know what your thinking relax yourself damn. kishimoto only does the manga the anime is based on the manga but they can do anything they want with the anime not the manga cause it's his original idea. and even so if you are speakin on logical terms gaara being hokage and naruto still a genin doesnt matter naruto possesses hokage level ability now. in fact he's even past kage level now to just about godlike speed and strength

@TheSakuraStrength yes naruto is hotheaded but he is stronger than gaara. and as i said kishimoto made his story about naruto not gaara. if it was your story then you can change it but it's not we just have to except it. but your opinion is your opinion. and once again relax yourself your increasing your blood pressure over a ficitonal character. i love anime but theres no use breaking your neck over it ok. plus there are plenty of people stronger than gaara not just naruto.

@TheSakuraStrength gaara had his arc already to show off his strength and naruto overcame it thats how main characters do it. now they have to move on to madara who is way stronger than 5 gaara's and sasuke who is stronger than gaara now

why do people think that flipping the picture makes it less copywrited? AMVs and Parody shows are taken downall then time. Editing the footage doesnt make it not copywrited.
Don't get me wrong, I am quite grateful to the people who upload episodes and clips. I just don't see the point in flipping them.

He jumped in the air with his rasengan to add tremendous pressure to Gaara's sand barrier. If he runs into it the rasengan wouldn't be strong enough

Yeah, it would. Sasuke's Chidori was enough to penetrate Gaara's Sand Barrier. Maybe Gaara managaed to get the sand more dense and compact to make it more powerful...but I still think the Rasengan by itself would've worked.

in all honesty i think they're probably at the same level but Naruto is better at close up attacks while Gaara is better at long rage ^^

Gaara is not weak at all. They just make Naruto get another 'emotional power-ups' in this battle.
He's still powerful enough even among other Kages at age 15. Like Naruto, Neji, and Sasuke, he's a battle genius. He has yet to have much experience in battle.
