  • Interesting, you called all animal fat "lard", I was raised beef makes "tallow", pork makes "lard", and bear makes "bear grease" (chicken makes chicken fat and it isn't as good or useful) ... Very interesting

  • Thanks - I am doing the same with the same type of fat and wanted to review or check if there was a different or better way to do it....this showed me that I am doing it the right way...all the best

  • The skill you have shown here is applicable to what I do . I use rendered bear fat or deer fat as a natural wood preservative for my hunting bows and arrows .
