I went and found four instances of this being played in the series (with the flute, at least). Approx. times:

Ep. 9, 8:00

Ep. 21, 16:35

Ep. 37, 5:30

Ep. 46, 3:50

There seem to be at least two different arrangements, one ~35 sec., one ~45 sec.

If you listen closely, you can hear the mandolin. My guess is when they went to put it on the CD, they accidentally left the flute part out. Since there doesn't seem to be a version without flute in the show, that would support my conclusion.

Regarding the version with flute: I've heard everything in all the OST albums, and it doesn't seem to be in any of them. An unfortunate oversight, as I really like it.
