Having not known much about Dr. Kevorkian, but supporting in principle the right of every person to end their lives and to be assisted by a doctor- I feel disappointed by what the doctor says here. Did I understand correctly, and he said he felt that life in general is not worth living?

It is possible that he was referring to sick people only, but it didn't sound like that at all. If he WAS making the point that life as a whole is not worth living, that's just sad. It undermines his all point.

Once spirituality is taken out of the equation (the preciousness of life, etc), you are left with you and your situation and your body. OR: Set up a government run SUICIDE/DEATH PANEL that could include a physician to make the CHOICE.

He said the truth, the only reason fear is ever used is for control and religion has played on the natural human instinct of fear of the unknown, and top that off with the claim that when a person does dies they will go to a terrible place and so they need faith to dedicate their lives so they can avoid going to that place.
