  • i'm in love with you

  • great play

  • how did you get this in stereo with one mic?.. lol sounds good though.

  • @TheSteveKinney looks like he's got one mic on the fender amp on the bottom and then you can see the cable running down from a mic on the vox on top.

  • Very Nice. do u have a video teaching how to create that timbre and colour?

  • Can you post the set up, I mean, delay how many mms, time; reverb.

    Thanks

  • what pedals do you have, man? this sounds incredible!

  • The end of this song is pure genuis... It really completes it.

  • Your a fucking artist dude. That sounds great.

  • are you constantly pressing on a wah pedal, or volume? or what? thanks :)

  • @stix471 it's a volume pedal.

  • man. everytime i hear this it just makes me SAD. huhuh :(

  • goosebumps everytime. :')

  • Hey some really sweet sounds man. can you give me some tips on the kind of pedals i need as iv always been a plug strait into the amp guy. iv got a real nice valve amp, a awesome delay pedal tc flashback, a compressor volume pedal wah and big muff what other stuff do i need to get this kind of tone

  • This along with #13 are your best in my opinion! Keep it up!

  • Beautiful stuff mate! It propels me to a state of revery and visualistic illumination that words can't describe

  • I Want These Pedals !!!!! *-----------* OMG fucking god ! This is very beautiful song man! you made it !

  • Do I really need a compressor pedal to play like this?

  • Dude... You're absolutely incredible. Really beautiful music man.

This stuff's great for like studying and whatnot. Or just reading and listening in the back ground. =)

  • What kind of settings are you using for the delay/reverb? Also what exactly are you doing with that volume pedal? Swelling in every note you play?

  • kinda sounds like the album leaf!

  • A GREAT SONG!!! Check This out Youtubers ;)

  • @zebediego "playlist?list=PL428FF60F6A2E4B89&feature=mh_lolz"

  • Holy fuck, that's great. I can't believe you got that out of a single guitar and a few pedals.

  • watched. subcribed.

  • you really have a gift man, iIve been listening to this song all day long. It really moves me :) I can't tell you how much I respect you as I am a musician too, keep up the good work, I hope you'll become famous, you deserve it :) If you ever have a gig, tell me, I'll be there, first row! Cheers

  • my 16 week nephew loves it and ur other songs

  • ..you make me want more delay pedals :D :D

beautifully done amigo. Sounds like an angel's love song...

  • how do you make those echoe sound? is that the reverb in modulate mode?

  • @christiancavestany u need a delay pedal and a volume pedal. U could try it without a delay pedal, but it will sound better with one.

  • @helloimkevin10 yup i know that but that shimmering effect its a reverb i think with a delay

  • U SIR HAVE INCREDIBLE FEEL FOR MUSIC AND TALENT!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3 ur songs no homo

  • @SASwildlifesound i have no idea... thank you though.

  • friend, you should explore the possibility of writing/recording these pieces and sending them to tv editors, screen play managers, and audio consultants. the market is huge and you're very talented. do you recommend the RV-5 over the Verbzilla or Strymon blue sky???

  • is the dl4 making the majority of this ebow sounding effect?

  • I love this ambient songs, they're very relaxing (:

  • beautiful. just beautiful.

  • hammock?

  • This is pretty. I dig very much <3

  • @tubescreamer hammock is amazing stuff but you sir are on a whole different planet, this song is the song for my life, one of the best. Yours songs are like a preaching with out the need for words. I pray for you fame so others can hear this. It moved me, I know it will move others. Respect.

  • dude thats just amazing!!! very shoegazeish and just awesome. you're a really inspiring guitarist

  • @frunkus88 thank you!

  • your tone is so gorgeous. I Got a blues junior. are the vox ac-15 really awesome?

  • why

  • What volume pedal would you suggest buying?

  • Totally cool and original stuff bro!! Can't say too many people inspire me but your playing and song stuff is nice.....Best wishes and thanks for the inspiration!!

  • you are very talented, I totally enjoy your soundscapes, lovely feel and harmony sense...wishing well

  • great piece of personhood !

  • do you remember what delay settings you had?

    nice tune!

  • nice job

  • Great :) I love it keep the good work.

  • Quel est votre pédale volume :) ?

  • bonjour, quels sont les réglage du delay? Le micro pog vous sers à quoi?

  • If anyone likes this they should check out Through a Glass Darkly by Hammock

  • @MusicSatisfies Thats what I thought he was playing for the first 10 seconds!

  • why did you mike your amp and not wire it directly through your soundcard?

  • @bohmaniac because that would sound like poop.

  • @tubescreamer is it a ribbon microphone?

  • @tubescreamer Your music really reminds me of Mark Midgley's. I just started a YouTube channel showcasing other artist's tracks. His is both my first and most recent song.

  • @tubescreamer dont you like poop?

  • @bohmaniac

I'll up you one on that.

I've found, and I'm not sue why it's so overlooked, that using condenser mics (I own a cheapy audio technica) sounds much better than any dynamic mic I've tried(shure,senheiser,etc)...you have to place the mic back further but the sound is not just more authentic and natural but it has more depth and subtley.

On top of that using alnico speakers add to the depth too.

  • You make me cry.

    I love you

  • Beautiful!

  • youve inspired me to really start listening to the sounds i can make with my guitar rather than the techniques.

there are so many different ways an instrument can be played n thats why music is so great

  • @1MIKH that's great, but sound and technique go together. technique is still very important.

  • Thumbs up if you think this is awesome! :D

  • Chills down my spine... Great

  • this song just makes me think of the beauty of the world, that melodic tune is just so beautiful, i can feel the warmth in my heart, this is the power of good music

  • COBUS!!!1

  • wow!!

  • Oh my ♥ This is beaufiful :') I just put 'play' and is so.. well ,beautiful ...

  • Beautiful work indeed...

  • this.is.so.beautiful. i love it.

  • Yep, followed the link here per Cobus's suggestion. But this is pretty cool I must say.....nice work!

  • absolutely beautiful. great work dude =)

  • incredible... man, you touched my heart. :)

  • Never thought it's possible to create music like this just with guitar. Really nice, it makes me feel like I'm hover around our planet

  • this is just beautiful.

  • Cobus sent me

  • Cobus brought me here, glad he did!

  • @AvengedZeppelin20 no one cares. he sent me 2 but I actually listen to the song.

  • @RC62Scorch

I listened to it too retard. That's why I said glad he did.

  • i don't need to tell who sent me here, and it doesn't matter.. but i truly think your music is beautiful. lot's of respect from me :-)

  • Thumbs Up if Cobus Sent you here! :D

  • cobus..man this is the only thing tat's greater than ur drum covers..it's so soothing..nvr knew such music..it's just too good..

if god was down here to listen this he would worship this too..

  • You have cobus to thank for the views you're getting after this.

  • reminds me a lot of the bad 'hammock'

  • relaxing, beautiful and trippy.

  • I always watch the video that Cobus wants to share with us... this one is really great ! congrats !

  • cobus sent me here too ! lol

woaw . . .these sounds make me feels like dreamming ! good work man !!

  • Is anyone here for the music anyway? Stop calling out that 'Cobus sent you here', no one cares and since 90% got this link through Cobus' FB/Twitter/whatever you are NOT special. Just listen to the song and comment on it, instead of spamming this great song with one useless sentence. It's good Cobus 'promotes' other artists, but not when they (re)act like this.

Very awesome man, never though one person could make such an amazing song simply in his (living?) room. Did you apply any posteffects?

  • @BramVroy Thanks you! And no... there were no posteffects applied. :)

  • @tubescreamer No problem, and thanks for the answer. Very well done, again :)

  • @tubescreamer WOW!! This is absolutely phenomenal. I would absolutely love to use some of these tracks in my short films.

The power of emotion in these is fantastic. You sure have a very intuitive & intimate grasp of sound.

  • @BramVroy You say that in order to let the artist know who sent you and that fans of Cobus like his stuff as well. It helps the artist know who is watching his video and lets him know to thank Cobus for sending so many followers.

  • @CameronIRL I would understand that if that sentence was a part of their comment, but not when the only thing they post is 'Cobus sent me here', or 'Cobus sent me here, thumbs up!'. That's just pathetic; begging for a thumbs up. I would understand if they would also give some opinion, comment, appreciation on this song as well. tubescreamer doesn't need 'cobus sent me here' more than an opinion on his songs. :)

  • @BramVroy just want to say, I I totally understand most of your point in not linking Cobus saying that he brought us here, but then again it is sort of good, as it lets other know of the linkage to great, and maybe similar liked contain, its a social web,if that helps to explain my point. From this, some who were not brought here through Cobus, might find similar likings to music and other content. Though like I said, I agree those wanting thumbs up is not necessarily bad, but no so cool as well.

  • @Zer0Zer00ne I think I get what your saying, but some points really got lost on grammar :\

  • @FiveNinety5 yeah....If you copy my entire previous comment, and try to post it as a comment yourself you will notice, that you will hit a character limitation, as I was experiencing. So I had to cut out certain words and characters to make my statement fit. I should have just posted 2 statements, but I did not want to. Besides that, at a certain level of message delivery, I do not put too much care into grammar, as long as I get the message across,... sorry. (=

  • @Zer0Zer00ne all good :) Ohwell I'm sure he will get the point anyway.

  • @FiveNinety5 yup ... hope so ( -8

  • haha,... and spelled some words wrong ... like when I said contain.. I meant content ... ;P

  • @Zer0Zer00ne ahaha ohwell it's youtube nothing has to be perfect :D

  • @Zer0Zer00ne I guess you misunderstood me. I don't mind that Cobus sends us here, but I can't take it that the people that got sent here only post useless sentences like 'thumbs up if cobus sent you here' etc. It's a pity, because tubescreamer could use some comments on his videos as well instead of thousands of comments containing nothing more than 'Cobus sends me'. I hope you get the point ;) Cheers.

  • @BramVroy Yeah, I guess I misunderstood you... I agree on that 'thumbs up if cobus sent you here' part is not necessary!!! I don't think we are going to stop the masses from not posting that so early. Hopefully social web society will catch on .... Cheers and kudos to you, as well ( =

  • @BramVroy dude, cobus brought me here ;)

  • @BramVroy Well, I was also here because Cobus sent me. I didn't like, and add the song to favorites because of Cobus. From now on I'm here just for the music. This might be the most chill song I've ever heard. Gaahhhh..

  • cobus was here

  • Cobus always finds talent on youtube. Good stuff man.

  • When he will see the number of view he will think : "WHAT THE FUUUCK !!" hehe

  • Cobus did not send me here.

  • this is incredible. few things on earth captivate me as much as a simply powerful melody does. thank you!

  • @deedlebag Thanks so much man, I really appreciate your support!

  • @tubescreamer Cobus I think you should do a drum improvisation to this! :D

  • cobus sent me :)

  • You're gonna get a blitz of comments/views thanks to Cobus...

  • Cobus has good taste in guitar imo....

  • Cobus sent you here. Right?

  • cobus sent me here, thumbssss up

  • Cobus Potgieter posted this on Facebook :D Congrats :D

  • Cobus brought me here!!!!!! thumbs up if he did it to you!!

    (Post) Rock on! ;)

  • your music reminds me of mute math! very cool stuff man keep it up

  • Makes my body chill.

  • I've just started messing around with doing some stuff like this, you really sound great. One question, do you have your tremolo before both your delay and reverb? I can't figure out where to place it in my line to get the sound I want..

  • the fuck i want that pedal board

  • Is the level knob on the RV-5 a true level control or does it work like the mix knob on a Verbzilla?

  • Any chance you can post tabs and chords for any of these songs?? they're rquality and i'd like2 play them

  • Very nice gongratulations for you awesome job !!

  • Purple Rain!!!! :)

  • Ha! I heard your volume peddal squeak! Mine does the same damn thing. great job bro.

  • Oh that is "I Was A Sight" ! :)

  • DUD DUD this is AWESOME!!

  • Hey, man. What note setting are you using for delay? I hear a high mix and feedback level. And can you give me an idea of your RV-5 settings? I also don't hear the tremolo at all. It is sitting low in the mix? Sorry for all the questions! :)

  • @musicofnic just using quarter notes... rv-5 is on modulate mode with effect level cranked and tone rolled back... tremolo was on at the end, i guess you didn't watch the whole thing?

  • @tubescreamer I'm pretty sure I watched it all. I never could tell the tremolo was on though. Was it set to a low setting? Thanks for the advice!

  • @musicofnic no problem... it's a medium setting i guess, you can see me turning it on around 4:34

  • @tubescreamer ive been watching youtube for 3 years now and you r my favourie channel, i actualy tune in now and just close my eyes and listen to your music, id buy it if it where on itunes, which aint that hard t do my friends band are on there at th emoment.mamzing

  • Nice sound...Congrats.

  • nice sound man

  • did you do that in stereo?

    one delay-eff. or two??

  • Sounds great!!

  • dude. just got your album. thanks! so stoked.

  • what reverb pedal were you using. i only ask becuase i use a line6 verbzilla and cant seem to get this sound for like prayer moments during worship at my mega church. lol long delay with heavy repeats and modulation helps huh

  • @joshuarugg hey i have a verbzilla myself and to get the sound like in this video you will need somethings similar to a low fi delay with modulation with very long repeat setting that should work =]

  • @joshuarugg also try the CAVE setting on there =]

  • Hey, I was wondering what you use to record, Im in the market for recording but not sure what I want.

    -Tyler

  • @tubescreamer would you mind giving a description on how to get this sound? Just kind of what effects you are using, and how you are using them, and how to play the guitar to make it sound like that? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  • hey man, beautiful sound. I was wandering...i've got the timefactor but wanted to know you opinion of it versus the DL4. Is the DL4 better for swells? Stuff like that. Thanks in advance

  • @FixedTilTuesdayRock My opinions: DL4 is a better looper. Timefactor has a better delay sound (and is more useable when you have an Aux switch like the Digitech FS300)

  • Wow i really like this, its so creative, I didnt even realise you could make such an ambient sound with guitar

  • @ezzamusic You can!

  • wow, so good

do you have a list of your pedals anywhere?

  • @karp47 Not officially, but check out my latest videos to see what I'm currently working with. It's quite different than what's in this video.

  • Comment removed

  • this is so sick!

  • Dude, super awesome to see you in the works. I really need a volume pedal. In know there's the regular and Jr. vol pedal that everyone uses but I can't remember the company name. What are you splattin your foot down on?

  • @quinnmyster Ernie Ball

  • @tubescreamer Ever thought about upgrading to a Goodrich 120? I hear it's better all around, but haven't tried it myself.

  • @cosmogang not really, but it would be nice to have something a little more robust...

  • @tubescreamer Not quite sure what you mean, but hey, your rig sounds good.

  • @cosmogang I just mean something that's built a little better. I've been through a few ernie balls already.

  • Beautiful.

  • @thenightsky2010 Thank you :)
