@WontonsVideos the only PVP that was shown in this video was a dual which is friendly between 2 players of the same side (elyos or asmo) If you want action then a Rift PVP or Abyss PVP would be something to search for on youtube.
I just love people saying that the PVPVE places in aion sucks... well you suck.... theres always other places where you can level... or just call your high level friends(if you do have one) to kill that fu ckers... don't biased unless you've played Aion and WoW
guys lets face it i looked at the game charts wow made 1.4 billion last year the closest game made 400million wow made more then 1 billion then its closest competitor competing agiasnt wow as of now is suicide not saying wow is the better game even though it has alot of awesome gameplay but aion is also a very fun game with better graphics only bad thing is the gay ganking even though it happens in wow as well.
I have played Aion until lvl 32 as a ranger, is too much pvp crap on Aion, you are attacked when doing quests and trying to lvl up non stop by players who are many lvls above you, then you have to pay to get your xp back and then pay to fly back to the quest location only for it to happen again.
Graphics on Aion are great, really beautiful weapons and armor but overall wow is the better mmorpg game with much more different things to do and is a lot more fun and relaxed, both good games I say !

@formation02 Difficult not to compare an MMO to another MMO. The concept is exactly the same thing....GRIND...LEVEL..LOOT...GRIND A BIT MORE...I played Aion for 3months and got bored. I played WOW for 3years, I'm now playing Starcraft2 non-stop. Aion didn't have that same addictability.
I will come back to re-visit at some point i guess. Monthly subscription for Aion is totally unjust imo!! If GuildWars doesn't charge then Aion has no right to! - Interested in some opinions on this.

As a healer in WoW watching this guy play, to put it bluntly is Fucking boring. He stands there waiting for almost 5 seconds at times doing nothing... that would bore the shit out of me.. this game looks to simple.. that boss fight looked completely tank and spank and absolutely no skill involved, yes there are bosses like that in wow but atleast they make them a little bit more interesting for the healer by putting in massive damage spikes. Haven't played Aion and dont plan on it.
@NismoPower69 ever since the release of burning crusade, dont you ever put wow and skill into the same sentence. You have absolutely no idea what you are referring to, as skill is absolutely in-evident in wow. The entire skill base has been removed, to cater to a group of people that otherwise would have never seen gear. All the 10/25-man raids are the simplest boss fights ever introduced to wow. Look at Molten core and Blackwing lair before BC, and than talk. Wow USED to be good - It isn't now.

I played WOW for 2 years and since wrath came out and all these scrubs can just get welfare gear using badges the entire game has become full of elitist jerks that have no idea what the hell they are talking about. Also the only way to progress is to spend 5 hours a night for 3 to 4 nights a week and sacrifice what little social life you have to play a video game... Aion seems way more individual based and pvp based.. this seems like a good alternative to me. I'm buyin it.
this game is super awesome... if your 35 and live in your mom's basement.... what i mean is that it's a SUPER GRIND GAME. u basicly will run out of quest VERY OFTEN and will have to do the grind quests, cant understand how people can defend this game, i played to level 30 so i know how this game works, as much as a hate to admit it WoW is more soilid

i have played wow since it has been released, my friend and i gave aion a try when there was open beta and we enjoyed it, it was a change from WoW, but we stopped playing aion before our free time was over, the combat didnt feel like it flowed together like WoW imo thats what turned me off, but whenever get bored of WoW ill hop on back to aion and back and forth, im currently paying for WoW and Aion atm
I played both wow and Aion, and i have to say, the only thing Aion exceeds wow is the graphics, which will not be as soon as cataclysm comes out. Aion is just another Chinese shit on crytek engine, the same game engine Crysis uses. That's nothing innovating, nor better then wow.
Also the way the skills look, the way you move with the char, makes the game look rather unfinished.

All i can say to any WoW player on this game is that I played wow for 2+ years got over 5 characters passed 70 three of which were 80s. Blizzard fucked me over, banned me, i switched to aion, went back to wow, laughed, spammed play aion in trade, havent gone back since.
WoW has been around for 5 years folks. 5 years! wait til aion has been around 5 years everyone here supporting wow will be laughing that they ever even started a toon.
@ShadowTorment Don't expect Aion to get any major changes over the years. There are actually very few game studios that continue to push there games after it's released. Instead they go and make another game becuase theres a lot more profit in it.

@keenon93 im playing wow over 3 years,but when i start playing AION (a month ago) i saw that fighting system (in PvP) is a waaaaay better in AION + u can fight while flying,and in wow u cant even cast some basic spells or do some melee....and AION have much better graphic (monitor blur and similar things) but WoW have better storyline...so u think again what game is better
I quit Aion as a lvl 33 Monk because it just became a endless grind, and I heard 50 is just more endless grinding. I don't like the pvp system because its retarded. I suppose i'm use to guild wars monks, cuz Aion monks suck with high cool downs. Even the instant heal is 30 second cool off, and thats the developers being generous. Some last 10 mins for 1 effect.
Of course wow would seem a much more polished game with more content, its been out for a few years now, comparing to Aion which has only been released recently.

Tbh guys i think aion kind of sucks from what ive seen, got a char on it to about lvl 30 and to me all the quests are just repeated, like 1-10 there are X many quests, level 11-20 /copy /paste 1-10 for 99% of it and i find it a bit stale, wow does get stale aswell admitidly but aion just doesnt seem to have any real large appeal to me as a solely pve player, and the fact that if someone kills the boss ure after, u have to change to like all other channels only to find, oh hes dead here too sigh.
yea aion looks very cool but u got to admit, it copies wow so much even if its better. the interface is the same and the idea of a 5 man dungeon with a healer and dps ect is so like wow. but dont worry im not saying its a bad game cause it looks awesome
WoW has utilized many aspects of all older MMOs, such as Everquest, Asheron's Call, Ultima Online, Dark Age of Camelot, and Final Fantasy XI (a lot from this game). The UI is not new, the quest system is not new, the classes aren't, the physics aren't, the community aspect isn't, and the economy isn't. Anything that would be deemed 'revolutionary' was probably released in some patch years later.
the aspect is taken from the WC series , did u see that somewhere else ? no u didnt. the fighting system especcially the pvp system is solid, complicated and in pve with a rotation system that u didnt see anywhere else, dude wow is a very solid game, kind of immortal. get over it

@sg57 All games of all genres take influence and inspiration from past games. MMO's in general aren't new or original. The concept is the same, the difference is how it's played out. The story, the game play itself tends to be different too. Some tend to focus on PvP, other on PvE. Certain mechanics may be very similar. But while they're not completely original, most developers tend to add a personal touch and sure as hell make them unique.
@sg57 To be fair, the whole hype is.. WoW players like myself won't trade it for Aion because it isn't for us... up to the standards we are used to. Aion's a beautiful game, but at 50 I got bored and instantly went back to WoW. ;/ I think people are just being babies, there's no fight for me.

does wow even have a combo system? skill tree that is not as linear as WOW has.. Aion is much better than that. It may have a poor end content, but they are working on it.

Healing is hard actually lol. They are just good at pulling which is very important in this game. Timing and knowing what healing spell you need to use given the circumstances is extremely important. You notice how the guy is jumping from time to time? Well, that is to delay the spell by just a bit if the healer thinks he casted too early. I use this tactic from time to time when I AOE heal too fast.
I've played this game for the longest time ever and am now an owner of 3 lvl 50's and millions of kinah! But seriously i couldn't have done it without the guide i used... Check out my profile for a link to this amazing guide!

Part of it might be watching it from a healer's point of view, WoW videos are pretty similar in that regard. Looking a lot duller from a healer's point of view.
@jumjalalabash pvp can get pretty intense. instances are pretty boring aside form the bosses/mini bosses. plus they're mostly just doin 1 mob at a time.
HAVE you seen the epic moves you can doo in aion compared to WoW... if u think aion's combat looks dull... look back at wow and you'll DIE of the dull-ness

i pld wow for over 3 years then i gave my account away in the end.
granted the game looks better in some ways but theres more to a game than how prety it is, well to be honest the graphics on both games are crap.
the waterfalls in aion are a joke huge fail.
wow is crisper and better organised in its overall design and playability.
aion feels linier to me.
theres a ton of crap to be said about aion realy, i just think the people who play this game need there heads looking at.

I played WOW for 2 years and since wrath came out and all these scrubs can just get welfare gear using badges the entire game has become full of elitist jerks that have no idea what the hell they are talking about. Also the only way to progress is to spend 5 hours a night for 3 to 4 nights a week and sacrifice what little social life you have to play a video game... Aion seems way more individual based and pvp based.. this seems like a good alternative to me. I'm buyin it.

Aion is still a great game, compared to wow or not.
It's very beautiful and enjoyable to play.
Only problem with Aion is that you need a group for a lot of the later stages so if you wanted to play it alone it's a bit more difficult.

Aion will never "kill" like stated like a thousand times. It is a good MMO though, i've played it but went back to wow due to the combat style, personally i just didn't liked it. It might also be a reason why i stopped playing Aion because i didn't know a lot of the End Game (which i still don't) Aion is a great game but in my opinion it's not as good as World of Warcraft.

i have played wow since it has been released, my friend and i gave aion a try when there was open beta and we enjoyed it, it was a change from WoW, but we stopped playing aion before our free time was over, the combat didnt feel like it flowed together like WoW imo thats what turned me off, but whenever get bored of WoW ill hop on back to aion and back and forth, im currently paying for WoW and Aion atm

I played both wow and Aion, and i have to say, the only thing Aion exceeds wow is the graphics, which will not be as soon as cataclysm comes out. Aion is just another Chinese shit on crytek engine, the same game engine Crysis uses. That's nothing innovating, nor better then wow.
Also the way the skills look, the way you move with the char, makes the game look rather unfinished.
Thats just my opinion so don't start hatin'

All i can say to any WoW player on this game is that I played wow for 2+ years got over 5 characters passed 70 three of which were 80s. Blizzard fucked me over, banned me, i switched to aion, went back to wow, laughed, spammed play aion in trade, havent gone back since.
WoW has been around for 5 years folks. 5 years! wait til aion has been around 5 years everyone here supporting wow will be laughing that they ever even started a toon.

I quit Aion as a lvl 33 Monk because it just became a endless grind, and I heard 50 is just more endless grinding. I don't like the pvp system because its retarded. I suppose i'm use to guild wars monks, cuz Aion monks suck with high cool downs. Even the instant heal is 30 second cool off, and thats the developers being generous. Some last 10 mins for 1 effect.

Tbh guys i think aion kind of sucks from what ive seen, got a char on it to about lvl 30 and to me all the quests are just repeated, like 1-10 there are X many quests, level 11-20 /copy /paste 1-10 for 99% of it and i find it a bit stale, wow does get stale aswell admitidly but aion just doesnt seem to have any real large appeal to me as a solely pve player, and the fact that if someone kills the boss ure after, u have to change to like all other channels only to find, oh hes dead here too sigh.

WoW has utilized many aspects of all older MMOs, such as Everquest, Asheron's Call, Ultima Online, Dark Age of Camelot, and Final Fantasy XI (a lot from this game). The UI is not new, the quest system is not new, the classes aren't, the physics aren't, the community aspect isn't, and the economy isn't. Anything that would be deemed 'revolutionary' was probably released in some patch years later.

@sg57 All games of all genres take influence and inspiration from past games. MMO's in general aren't new or original. The concept is the same, the difference is how it's played out. The story, the game play itself tends to be different too. Some tend to focus on PvP, other on PvE. Certain mechanics may be very similar. But while they're not completely original, most developers tend to add a personal touch and sure as hell make them unique.

Healing is hard actually lol. They are just good at pulling which is very important in this game. Timing and knowing what healing spell you need to use given the circumstances is extremely important. You notice how the guy is jumping from time to time? Well, that is to delay the spell by just a bit if the healer thinks he casted too early. I use this tactic from time to time when I AOE heal too fast.

Part of it might be watching it from a healer's point of view, WoW videos are pretty similar in that regard. Looking a lot duller from a healer's point of view.
