  • where can i find the video were you take apart the instrument cluster, and do you think it's possible to change the light bulbs so that you get a different color backlight (such as Blue) then the Amber that it normally has?

  • how many bulbs do u need to change all the lights in the instrument panel?

  • @DJSharkIEE I believe it's around 7 but don't quote me on that.

  • can u post a video on how to remove the stereo? cant find one.

  • @aramirez6964 Wish I could be I don't have the car anymore :(

  • @aramirez6964 ugh me to man hey can u let me know if u found one ?

  • Hey I have a question for you. What bulbs do you use to light up the speedometer? And its there only one? I think its the 194 but idk what base, type, and overall length. Thank you so much for anyones help!

  • @ObamaRuinedUSA I don't remember. I'll see if I can dig it up. We recently turned the car on lease.

  • @Johnnysshop Nice vid bro helped me a lot.

  • just another quick question. i have a 06 model and im not sure if they are the same in the cluster bulbs. but the only bulb thats able to come out its the high beams bulb, i ended up taking the needles out and thought the bulbs where under the gauge face but all i seen was little white small LED attached to the green face plate, and i think its not possible to change the LED color bulbs RIGHT>?? or is there a way to change it , I am looking to customize the cluster.!!

any help pls let me know.

  • @LvinC Pretty sure they are the same. I looked at that, I don't think you can change it. I'm sure someone out there is more clever than I and figured it out though.

  • Pretty good video. Don't waste so much time telling people not to change the odo though. Nobody's going to sue you.

  • @stveide1 LOL.. Yeah, just covering my butt. You never know!

  • hi, do u kno how to remove the headunit and put in a new one

  • @QUICKLIST129 I've never done it. I believe you pop off the panels on both sides of the head unit and there are 4 bolts holding the deck in..

  • @Johnnysshop thanks

  • I was wondering, do you you know how to replace the keyhole light on the nissan '05?

  • @ahnyoung1 I haven't looked into it. Funny thing is I've never noticed the light. I just checked and I don't think mine works either!

  • Another great video!

  • Thanks!

  • johnny, im getting a free replacement instrument cluster for my bmw x5 but they want to charge me $185 for labor. Question, is the cluster a plug n play with info automatically sent from ecu or does it have to be programed for milage, etc. thanks

  • It depends on the vehicle really. On most it's not really plug and play. It will work but will need programmed with the correct mileage and so on. Typically a dealer will get a reading from the ECU and program the new cluster to match the ECU.

  • Great video btw.

  • Thanks!

  • how can I know if the mileage on my altima 06 cluster hasn't been changed? does the ECU keep the mileage record even if they changed the cluster? thanks.

  • Yes, the ECU does. The tranny ecm may have some info as well. It would be nice if the dealers actually check that info but they don't. At least around here.

  • thanks. I have another question. where does the airbag control module located on the altima 06? My steering wheel airbag deployed and I've already replaced but I still need to reset the srs module and I don't know where's located. thanks a lot and looking forward to hear from you.

  • Not sure actually. Good question. I think it's near the Tranny control module but I haven't looked. The tranny control module should be to the left of the ECU

  • @Johnnysshop got a question,is it hard to replace the motor mounts on a 05 altima 4 cyl? why would the dealer wanna charge 1200 just to replace motor mounts?is it hard or are they easy to replace?

  • @cagonesss From what I can tell it's not hard, just time consuming. 1200 doesn't surprise me for all the mounts. You will need to unbolt the motor and support it with jacks/jackstand.
