I use 2 Deep Cycle SRM-27 RV batteries, which run 2 drive motors in back - one for each track. On flat level pavement they may last 12 miles, but I run this machine off-road most of the time, usually up and down hills and mountains. The batteries will last me about 2 hours when I'm pushing it hard. When towing a lawn mower on our hillside, it goes about 4 hours. Taking an abandoned logging road zig-zagging down to the canyon bottom 1,000 below and back uses up power, & that's only 3 miles.

Ofcourse I doubt that the battery lasts any more than 1 mile as opposed to the claimed 12 miles.

I love using it to push stuff around too. It's not a perfect chair but sure is a great freedom.
