@partyboysrh Sorry, I just seen your comment. You mentioned a "wire tuck". I relocated my CDI, coil, and voltage regulator to behind the radiator. I welded a piece of steel there before powdercoating. You cannot see any of those things at all now. The wires are hidden behind the framerail. I left the key switch, and installed a tether kill that clips to my belt loop. The only wire that you can see, and only when the seat is off, is the hot wire going to the taillight. Thanks for the input.
@musiclovr2 Lol. That was 1.5x the actual speed. It was going 91mph on the GPS, passing the camera. It looks like about 140mph in the video. The Elkas were $850, and I did use the power valves. It's unreal how easy this bike is to ride on tight trails. If you wanna see those PV's at work, check out my vids where I'm riding tight trails.
Ok thanks for the estimate. I'm actully on the east coast in Massachusetts and I've been seeing a lot listed anywhere between $1000 to $4000. Personally I want more stock than something someones tampered with. Then again I could always do a rebuild if the deal is right. Thanks again
@54pen455 It depends on how well it was taken care of, and what's done to it. I've got close to $20,000 tied up in mine, and MIGHT get $6,000 if I sold it now. An all stock bike, I wouldn't pay more than $2,500 for, if it were in perfect shape. But, in California or other areas it could be worth alot more.
Great quad. Love 2 strokes. I've owned a Blasty since 02 bought brand new and about to move up to the king of 2 strokes. Looking to spend no more than $3000 on a decently running 01-06 Banshee. Craigslist possibly. Sound about right?
im currently building my banshee ,orange frame, trinity s/s pipes, +3-+1 a-arms, what size axel did you have in your banshee? +2 wide or stock, not sure, im in australia so if i order the wrong size part its a hassel to ship it back being about 100-150$ to do so.
haha building it in the house it looks like, hella dude that has alot of time in it and money i have an 89 banshee it has the stroker kit in it and i also have a cool head like you, i built mine in my kitchen and got stuck, i had to take the lower A-arms off and the J-arms off to get it out the back door but yah nice banshee you should think about a wire tuck. it makes the bike look much better i have one foot of wiring harness and thats it, one switch for high beam, and 1 kill switch. good job
Sweet banchee you did that quad nice man! I have a honda 250r i wana rebuild i took care of the motor first but not like you man don't have all that dough to do it all at once. That swing arm is sick i like how its welded all up rite. An man you flew by fast. I plan on alot of motor work. I was running nos but i don't like how it beats the motor so i took it all off. Was fun and when it hit in it felt like you would get ripped off the bike if not holding on tight. Much luck racing and very nice!
i just posted two vids of my quad finished for now next winter, if this one ever ends, lol im going through the suspension and axle and all that stuff, id also like to buy another rolling frame with everything to run except the motor and carbs and stuff that looks similar to yours, cause i seen one like this that i really wanted to buy same colors and i love those colors they look awesome just different fenders ill just throw my motor back and forth between the two
OOH YA! heavily modded banshee nice build I like.... well everything haha, but especially the "suspension less the Elkas cause of color only, I just rebuilt my first banshee from soup to nuts nothing heavy like you but made some well needed upgrades. Keep rebuilding it never get rid of it!
nice shee,i just went through my whole motor this winter, replaced somethings and had some stuff done, next winter im thinking about doing the whole suspension if i can, mine is a 89 tho so i need j-arms
I appreciate it man. I highly recommend Tim at Stella Machine And Performance. He makes the best suspension parts around. He does make j-arms too. That's who made my a-arms and swingarm. He's getting ready to make me a wheelie bar too. Going to do some asphalt dragging this summer with this bike. Ditching the shocks, and using some adjustable struts to slam it on the ground. I'm gonna keep the shock though, so I can keep having fun on the trails and hills.
I've thought about it before. I just can't do it though. I'd lose my ass, if I sold it. I have over $20,000 in receipts, and it took me about 8 months to build it how I wanted. I'd probably never see $7,500 if I sold it.
Hey ma good job on the shee im on a slowly working process 2 do the samething as ur banshee but diff color n stuff but awsome shee now will have to see it riding
