  • CHARLIE CHAPLIN FTW !

  • charlie chaplin is real actor....

  • i love the time when he comes down from da pole!!! very graceful!!

  • Dude,i'm so moved by Charlie Chaplin and i can't believe that he had such guts.Amazing..i don't udnerstand how something this old can make me laugh or smile yet it does:D

  • I really want to give him a hug. :(

  • Charlie Chaplin always creeped me out just a little bit. I mean, I understand how and why he's good, but I don't know. It's weird. And then I hate seeing animals in cages. But of course, zoos now are a lot different than they were then (or they should be).

  • Probably my favorite moment of Chaplin's entire body of work is when the dog comes along and starts barking. Cracks me up without fail.

  • Probably my favorite moment in all of his films when the dog starts barking. Such a simple (and predictable) concept, yet still hilarious.

  • Not that getting in the Lion and Tiger Cage doesn't show total guts and genius but the best bit for me was when he dances at the top of the pole and then descends.

  • its like watching those old cartoons, thank you mate

  • charlie is sooo funny his actions are hilarious

like when he waves the bandanna its soo funny

  • The way Chaplin hangs from the pole makes you wonder if he ever worked in a circus before...

  • he was an acrobat as a kid and did all his own stunts. great clip.

  • Charlie was so cute I had a crush on him years ago.

  • Cute lion!!!

  • The lion's name was Numa. He was a star resident at Gay's Lion Farm in El Monte, where Slats (the silent-era MGM lion) also lived. He died of cancer in 1930, and was stuffed, mounted and placed on exhibit at the Farm until it closed in 1942.

  • wow.

  • brilliant!

  • I read somewhere, about the scene where the Lion aproaches Chaplin first time, hes fearfull faceexpression is NOT acting!...-He was terrefied cause there was no movie effect added, he WAS really together with the lion without glass or something like that between them

  • exactly, and aslann, he was very very cute... i love him, a very handsome man. But like u said Rubber, he didn't put anything between them. i bet he really was scared! xD there was a lion that could eat the little guy whole. of course with everything terrible going on with him at the time, i bet he wouldnt really care lol. jk but also at the end of the movie where he's on the tightrope and the monkies bite him and stuff, that was real too.

  • yeah, the pole part made me smile... he's so adorable... *tear* i mean he was so adorable.

  • Charlie had such a cute smile...

  • the sliding down the pole part was so cute ^w^

  • One hellava vicious lion there...
