Oh and I couldn't watch when I had it done to me, I just stared at the ceiling the whole time. It doesn't really bother me to watch someone else but I can't watch my own body being cut up, maybe if it was recorded but not *while* it is happening live. I'd probably freak out and yank my toe away from the scissors in reflex and then end up having my whole foot sliced in half, lol. I know this is gross and all but if you have ingrown toenail it is SO worth it. I've had zero problems since.
I had this done to both sides of my toenail last year! Well first I had a GP remove the entire toenail but it grew back again with the same problem and then I went to a podiatrist (foot specialist) and he did this like in the video, cutting the sides out, then he put acid in so the sides don't grow back. Did a great job. My advice is that anyone with ingrown toenail should go STRAIGHT to a podiatrist, skip the general practitioners. The shots hurt like heck but afterwards it's not so bad.
I just had this done about an hour ago. Just cane on here to get a better view of what the doc was doing as I can not see well. The nail they pulled out of my toe looked like it was bigger than your cousin's but still damn that was big. :o)
Was the practitioner a nurse, physician, surgeon or some other health care provider?
