@GodOfTheInternets It hurts to hear anyone pronounce Kant that way. It makes it hard to take them seriously especially when they only explain half of the theory. He was German (well, German-Speaking at least), it is pronounced k-ah-nt.
Eh, This isn't an accurate representation of Kant. Kant presupposes Universalism, that everyone should act as everyone else should act regardless of context... and a weirder tint to this, is that it should be motivated by reason alone and not compassion. Hence Authoritarian ethics, unalterable, contextless, decrees must be made that suit the ordination. What the poster seems to be mistaking for Deontological ethics is really Virtue ethics.
@CadaverSplatter/ This does represent Deontology. I'm a Philosophy student and this is the same material covered at the University. Virtue Ethics is based on character. If your character is evil then evil comes out of you. This was created by Aristotle. You can always google this. Deontology does have a few more parts but this is a general break down and that's ok. It's youtube not the University
It is pronounced "cunt" , everyone knows that?

There is and can be no such thing as a moral paradox, that is in itself a paradox. Because moral must be binding, if it is not it is nothing.

It's not pronounced like the English word can't but like the English word cunt. It's German. Get over it.
