Geez, the amount of negativity in the comments of these vids is overwhelming. These guys make professional magazines (which are quite good I might add) and so that they continue to make these vids and post them for free despite all of the whining people do is amazing. Being an amateur filmmaker, I am very thankful for these videos, they are very informative and do a great job in describing the art of illusions, also known as film. And for the record, this looks sci-fi to me :)
nice, i love videomaker, and i really love these genre tutorials but i think that alot of people like me have after effects and want to know more advanced effects, i mean we've been doing lighting for ever now, any beginners should just watch older videos, and i really think there should be more videos on one of the things videomaker is best at, fight scene like actual punches not gunshots
Lighting is pretty much one of the single most important things in the visual quality of film. Heck, a lot of professional films don't do a good job of lighting. Essentially, lighting can't be covered enough. There are oodles of AE tuts on youtube, look some of them up, these are about general filmmaking. They didn't have AE 50 years ago, yet pretty much most of these concepts still apply today
@FilghiProductions actually I think they did a good job, it felt very sci fi to me and post apocolyptic.... may be you should watch some more movies lol
@TerritoryTV I don't think anyone except the person who made that video would think it was "a good job", scifi or not!!- so, be real, are you the guy who produced or are you the host on this video? Defend yourself! LOL :D
Good educational and detailed video about science fiction.
