  • lol I don't get how she didn't know how to hold it it's the same as if you have a curling iron

  • I think you suppose to do it the opposite way & maybe it was the products you put in your hair, but it was good for a first try (2years ago) so maybe you have the hand of it now :)

  • you have very beautiful hair ! how did you get it long like that??

  • I love the instyler. I have the thickest most unmanageable natural african hair. You arent supposed to put much product in your hair before using it :) Your hair looks really nice by the way.

  • I like the Instyler but I can't stand the smell it gives off, the way it creates flyways near the hairline, and how hard it is to get to the roots. The best thing about the Instyler is the body and shine it gives. Honestly I would not recommend as an every day styler. I recommend it if you are looking for something easy to use.

  • The barale goes to the bottom

  • @MsUhhlala same here, I have long thick hair and it barely worked for me :/

  • my friend used the instyler to style my hair natural and it did great. I have super thick mixed hair that doesn't like to cooperate unless I use high heat which is damaging. It came out super bouncy.

  • u have beautiful hair it looks sooo nice and thick

  • i have natural hair and my mom got me one for Christmas and it didn't work on my hair, i dont know if my hair is just really thick

  • u used it wrong thats y..i have one too n it works great....the secret is on the position...:)

  • the brush was supposed to be on the top not bottom

  • Comment removed

  • your hair came out really nice

  • you're pulling it the wrong way...

  • 3:00 Wow, thats alot of steam! was your hair damp??

  • cyndaler. LOL (cylinder

  • Try Putting the Oil on after because i noticed when and if i do put oil on my hair before i straighten it , it doesnt come out as bouncy etc. as it would when i do it on dry hair. plus the instyler polishes your hair anyway. try doing it on completely dry hair no oils or anything and youll see the difference. good Luck!

  • you should turn the instyler the other way so that the barrel is on the inside.

  • you have very beautiful hair and eyes

  • the bristles are suppose to be on the outside of your hair if you wanna curve it in

  • dont like the fact the baby is crying in the background and you didnt at least CHECK.. sorry imma mom... cant help it.

  • your using it upside down LOL

plus a tip is to use a comb with it...

I personally had to go over it twice...but it lasted longer than any flat ironing I had done myselft before

  • yeah girl honest blooper lol i enjoyed the peanut galley in the background :-) sounds like my house

  • @lia81 your hair actually looked good in those briads.

  • OMG people, maybe her way could have been better. we all gonna break the rules sometimes. Things are deeper than the naked eye can see so stfu hating. Girl i love the video (: & THE MUSIC !

  • you do some really pretty makeup

  • Like this video. I have the instyler but haven't used it yet. I like the fact your learning while doing this demonstration. Turned out pretty good for first time. I whilst like for you to come back and do more videos.

  • not supposed to use products on ur hair with the in styler. just a heat protectant mist

  • THE roller is always under the hair.

  • Ya u were doing it wrong when it's blinking I means it's no fully heated yet and u need to gild the barrel near the root so it's gets straightened and u have to go a little slower so it gets it nice and straight but is ok I probably wouldn't have read the instructions either and done it wrong too!;)

  • I love Black hair. It's just so full of volume and poofy!!! Love it, love it, LOVE IT! <3

  • You are too pretty I could see where you would get tired. You do have a lot of hair!!! I like it it's beautiful!!!

  • lol not to sound racey but why are like 80% of the videos about the instyler made by african american girls? they got a thing for hair tools?

  • @6FaceDrak Did you also know that 80% contributors to the hair industry are black women? Yes, they're very serious about their hair.

  • @6FaceDrak HAHAHAHA you are soooo right on with that!!!

  • Thanks for doing it. I'll stick with the flat itron.

  • sap sucker lmao. aint heard that in a while. where you from sweetie. lol

  • how did you get the root straight ?

  • You was holding it wrong and when the light blinking it mean it isn't finish warming up until it a still light...but your hair still look great.

  • your holding it wrong but its fine cause its your first time.:)

  • shes a noob hahaha

  • well, as you know by now, you aren't doing it right! lol I love my instyler, but it does take some getting used to.

  • u probaly read the directions by now but just saying... the light on the instyler was still blinking because it means it's not hot enough to use so u need to wat for it to stop blinking. But i dontblame u it's ur first time and people make mistakes all the time.

  • I always use the bristle part on the top once or twice and then on the bottom once or twice, it makes is a lot easier, i get nervous to using it on myself, cuz when da instyler burns....IT BURNS lol beautiful hair! :)

  • you shoudlnt have used the shine stuff. just use a good conditioner and shampoo (tresemme) and blow dry then use the instyler. also you were going too fast. it should have came with a CD. IMPORTANT use a heat protectant.

  • I'll pass on this stupid product! Thank you! This review saved me money!! Lol I'll stuck to ceramic flat iron that gets all of hair straight! Roots & ends!

  • I have 2 instylers. By the way your hair is beautiful straight or either way I saw nothing wrong with it.

  • Your holding it the wrong way genius!

  • *thick

  • It definitely gave your hair a healthy shine! Do you have split ends? Since I can't tell from the video I'm just asking because that's the only part that didn't come out like the middle and top, and damaged ends can really affect the outcome with any flat iron. I've seen someone with natural ringlet curls and her hair was think and probably coarse, and the InStyler truly did wonders for her hair, but see her ends were healthy so that may play a factor. ^_^

  • Great video! I'll be putting up a tutorial of me using the instyler soon. I just recently did one on me straightening it with and flat iron. Anyways, for this to be your first time you did a really good job! Though, you were holding the instyler wrong.

  • is that, that stupid beyonce party song that came out.!??

  • Ur supposed to put the rotating barrel on the bottom it works better :)

  • You where holding it wrong sweetheart.

  • @ cherrylove64289 Thanks

  • did you ever use it again?

  • yeahh , i noticed that u had the barrel at the top and if u wanted it to curl under u need it under . and u should've probably gone slower .

  • Is the instyler good f0r natural hair cause I'm thinking about getting it when I'm done transitioning.

  • @Tennissgirl Actually, i believe it is good for natural hair because it doesnt clamp down on your hair and burn it. Its constantly rotating and brushing your hair out. Its polishing your hair.

  • You have really nice hair :)

  • yiu can do it either wayst make sure its hot. when the blinking light stops then its hot and go really slow the first time

  • 2 get ur roots straight take the barrel nd pull the section ur using nd place on their then use the brush on top nd then do the barrel on top plus u have 2 move slow cuz da issue ur having is da same 1 I had da 1st time I used it also 2 help wit not gettin buildup u should use tresemmé heat tamer spray that doesn't leave any thing on the instyler if u would like 2 c how my hair looks after using it just let me kno

  • I think it looked good but would look fantastic if you cut your ends and try it again. I would like to see it then try again. Clipped ends make a lot of difference

  • What Does The Blinking Light Mean ?

  • @raybabii1234 its not done getting hot. when the blinkling light is off then its at its heat level or maximum heat

  • Let it fully heat up

  • actually, no. on the box it shows the person holding it the way she is.

because, if you hold it when the brush is on top, you're only straightening the bottom of your hair...

  • I Dont Like How Everyone Was Trying To Get On You About Not Reading The Directions! It Was Your First Time Gosh.... And My Hair Is The Same As Yours. Just Lovely. And Yes Ma'am You Was Holding It Wrong... But Its Okay Everyone Messes Up...

  • But My Hair Is Exactly Like Urs Same Length Texture Everythin So Ik Itll Look Not So Pffy If I Do It The Right Way

  • Girll Before U Put This Up Here Read The Directions N Thn Do It But U Showed Us Wht Not To Do

  • you're holding it upside down!

  • I also noticed the ready light was blinking which indicates the Instyler was not ready to use yet. When the light stops blinking, then it has reached the correct temperature. It would help if you read the instructions first.

  • you're holding it wrong! thats why! lol..

  • i HATE that dang thing i burned my boob with it pretty bad lol but also when mine gets to hot it will stop spinning uhg dumb thing lol

  • How does ur hair get so straight I'm jealous my hair always comes out poofy do u live in San Diego plz let me know and do u have a salon I really want u to fo my hair seriously plz write back I'm not trying to act like a stocker haha I'm 12

  • @keeizdabomb - She Did Just Say She Live In Florida Maybe U Should Listen ;)

  • do people read commets before they make them?! Its like 20 people telling her she was holding it wrong lol i think she gets the point.

  • I love your hair.

  • You were holding it upside down and you are supposed to wait for it to stop blinking!!!

  • start with the brush part on top! then pull down then in toward u.. :)

  • Youu Aree Doin It Wrong .! It Wasn't Even Warmed Up At The Beginning . Andd Youu Where Holdin It Upside Down .!

  • Wow is this the most recent video from you? Your hair has gotten So long. and chilld I am scared of that instyler. I can just see my hair getting tangled in that thing!

  • the instyler is not for ppl with kinky or very curly hair where the curl starts close to the scalp because it never gets the roots. the sides of the brush are in the way lol

  • also you were straightening your hair while the lights were still blinking. It goes solid when the iron is hot enough :) I love my instyler its the best.

  • Hey I think the reason it wasn't working effectively is because you were holding it in a way that the cylinder was rolling upwards and not downwards on your har...but other than that it looks nice :)

  • I wish i had ur hair. My mom wants for me to get my hair natural, since im athletic, and i told her no because im 13 and i kno that i would have to get my hair cut some in order to get my hair natural. is this true???

  • @RichBayBay yes that is true

  • @RichBayBay I never cut my hair. I transitioned with braid extensions for a year.

  • omg your hair is so pretty! how did you get it to grow so much?

  • Flip It Hunn..,

The Roller Ball Should Be On The Bottom...

Brush Should Be On The Too So It Can Frab & Brush Through It 1st & Also Straighten It ..

    - Bree = )

  • lol.. the round cyndiler.. :D i think its cylinder

  • And the Instyler won't give you bone straight hair. I hate when ppl compare it to conventional Irons. It uses the least heat possible to give you the straightest hair possible. If you want bone straight hair, don't use this product.

  • If you use a heavy heat protectant like Shine, you will get greasy limp results. Plus your hair has to be at least 90% dry. Lots of people have been getting unwanted result but this is because they didn't cleanse properly and used heavy products before ironing or just used the Iron improperly.

  • Your hair is exactly the same as mine. I cannot believe I found someone on YouTube with the same texture and everything. I will definatley follow your videos.

  • ur not suppose to use products when u use the instyler

  • very pretty hair =)

  • this makes me not want to buy the instyler anymore

  • this makes me nit want ti buy the instyler anymore

  • I USE THE MAXIGLIDE AND IT WORKS GREATS...BUT IT COST A GRIP THE INSTYLER DIDN'T WITH MY HAIR

  • I like it, it makes your hair look healthy if it's a little thicker. Besides, you wrap it one night, get up in the morning, and the ends will be good.

  • You blew it out first right?

  • omg i just seen the rest of your videos, girl, your hair GREW :O

  • i have the instyler stay on the ends a touch longer

  • i dont wanna sound weird or anything but at 6:28 i noticed you have pretty eyes! :D

  • I got the Instyler, and it does NOT straighten well at all. I had about the same experience as you.

  • ok so i know I'm mad late, but with this iron you have to use bigger sections because you have to build the pressure between the iron and the brush

  • U HAVE TO TURN IT THE OTHER WAY

  • UR HAIR IS PREEEEEEEEETTYYYYYY

  • U did it wrong

  • its so long and healthy *jealous* lol

  • lol your funny in a good way

  • Love your hair & what's the name of that song you played throughout the video? I like it

  • If you want to flip it under then the barrel should be on the bottom. You did it wrong.

  • cyndiler? Haha, you mean cylinder?

(I don't think I spelled that right.. But whatever.)

  • how long have u been natural?

  • cyndiler?

  • what a waste!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • They said no products because your hair has to be completely dry. Also you held it wrong :(. That might've changed your results..

  • i see wats wrong .. u were holding it the oppsite way. your only sopposed to put the barrel on top when you want more shine and when you want it to be alot more smooth.

  • Comment removed

  • Ur doin it the wrong way the brush is supposed to be on top of ur hair not the bottom. U have it flipped the wrong way

  • they have a shield that clips on so u dont burn urself

  • i think if you slow down and take bigeer sections of your hair it would work better=)

  • Your hair cant be that wet at all ( for better effects lol ) btw i like your eyes and how u talk hehehe :D

  • lol i love the way u start the video...

  • you were supposed to hold it the other way with the bristles on top . :P

  • @karmaluvr ikr

  • @karmaluvr actually u can hld it wateva waii u wnt i saw it on the instyler website

  • lmbo, ur using it wrong

  • U are better off using a regular non expensive straightener. Tv is not always true....

  • OMG!!! Your hair has grown sooo much! You have always inspired me to continue natural. Could you post a video of your hair curly? I would love to see it...

  • the insyler didnt work on my hair either and u would think that i would because my hair isnt even that curly its wavy and it made my hair stiff so i got pissed off and just washed my hair

  • Seems with the instyler because my hair is so thick I had to go through it a few times to get it how I wanted it, then it still was wavy after standing an hour in the mirror but it works good.

  • ooh girl got some good hair

  • Can you offer me some tips to use on my natural curly hair middle daughter. Her hair grows but she has a lot of shedding and breakage because we are not sure of what products are best for her hair type. I know how to care for my 2 other daughters hair, their hair is like mine and we have mild perms. I don't know what to do for my middle daughters hair, we have tried so many different product lines. Any suggestions would be appreciated, because she is tired of wearing her puff ponytail.

  • I bought my daughter whom is now 16 two pair of Instylers last Christmas. The way that we use them is with the brush side always up or on the outside if that makes any sense, unless your goal is to flip your curls. My daughter has the same hair texture as you do and I have been trying to get her to look at the versatility that you have. She gets so frustrated with having extra curly hair and she wants a perm. When we straighten her hair it reverses by the end of the day.

  • u know that's for white people!! LMBO Gurl, u are a mess! Muah!

  • great video keep them coming

  • I have natural hair it's not all it's cracked up tp be and because it is heat it does damage the heir just maybe not as much ad the hair iron or old fashioned hot comb but it does damage the hair also it doesn't get to the roots all that good

  • Umm it does work 4 da ppl who thinks it doesn't she was holding it all wrong and it's better 2 run throw it 2 wice and she said she doesn't know wat she doin soo ya

  • thank you for showing me that it doesnt wrk cus on tv the make it seem like you go thru it wit your head once it be bone straight ... i was going to get it bt mi hair is much more thicker than yours so it wudnt do anything to mi head lol. so thank you every much with this video

  • thank you for showing me that it doesnt wrk cus on tv the make it seem like you go thru it wit your head once it be bone straight ... i was going to get it bt mi hair is much more thicker than yours so it wudnt do anything to mi head lol

  • Beautiful hair Diva !!!

  • You Need the plastic Piece so it wont burn No Product,And Dont curl it in like that if you want straight ends it works so much better with the instyler ;)) Hope u enjoy the tip by the way from a ten yr Old Haha

  • @FloraFire Hater,

  • If you want your hair to grow more cut the tiny point every year

  • Question: How much is it?

  • the instyler sucks. it does not work like it suppose to. in the commercial it was straighter than that. btw your hair is beautiful

  • idnt know why but everytme i see people using the instyler it comes out more poofy then if you wer to use the flat iron

  • The Instyler is great for natural hair because it won't burn the hair strait. Your hair is really gorgeous. I look forward to when I can use my Instyler again! I always enjoy your videos! Get yo' swang on!

  • Girl you are too funny..lol..I love it (your personality too cute). And you are So Pretty sistah. I love the detail you give. You allow us to see and know things others don't.

    Your hair is also gorgeous!

  • I like the way it looks:0)

  • Is that one of Beyoncé's songs?

  • i have two instylers that i ordered for $125 with tax they first came out and could only be ordered by tv. they showed Heather Locklear where the man was doing her hair and made it seem so easy. im a fool 2 try anything. you are able 2 use it brush side up or brush side down 2 b able 2 flip the hair. by the way what kind of hair products r U using now r do U just switch back and forth? maybe i need something that i can spray on my hair and try it again.

  • i thinki t was because u were holding it upside down..i think i saw the brusj u in the commercials

  • Hey lia81, you were holding the barral backwards. It was rolling the hair up .

  • it's not suppost to be pin straight it gives you body and volume

  • your hair looks real nice from the top to the middle. The product is what made they rest on the bottom look poofy.

  • omg ur hair has grown so much!!!!!!!!

  • @diamondnique i want it to grow much, much more! LOL

  • @lia81 im the same way i haven't pressed it out in months i think thats a reason for me to do my 1st vid lol...but i need to invest in some more wigs i only had one last winter but it did work wonders in the growth dept.

  • @diamondnique I have one of thoes next time don't put anything on your hair just do your natural hair it will come out really straight

  • I know why it isint as straight as you hoped it would.

your werent supposed to put any product. in the directions it says no product XD.

But the instyler is good for touchups XD

  • @vanessa5240228 Ohhhh...thank you! I'm gonna give it another try in a couple of months!

  • @lia81 I noticed with the InStyler that it only rotates one way, and found that if you position the barrel so that it rotates away from your face it straightens the ends beautifully. This always works for me. Good luck!!!! =]

  • Comment removed

  • It did a good job on your hair but the product itself needs work. ..it just isnt good for our type of hair

  • Thank you so much for doing this video. I've been wondering how it would work on natural hair. It actually did a little better than I expected.

  • Thank you for doing the Instyler tutorial. I've been wondering about it. Honestly I have an old MaxiGlide iron and am about to buy their newest model. I don't think the InSyler is for me. Maybe that will be better for you to.

  • its pretty but i see what you're sayin about it not being bone straight. i think the instyler is more for body rather than straightness. nevertheless, beautiful hair! i hope i can make it that far length-wise :)
