I did read about Canadian special forces being part of Task Force 121, a joint task force operating somewhere in Afghanistan so it's assumable they may have seen AC-130s in action. Don't know about Canadian regulars

1. Stinger missiles are hard to come by. The few that are available for purchase by the Taliban have had their prices inflated by demand outpacing supply.

2. It's not as simple as just aiming and shooting like in Call of Duty. If you think that, you're a moron.

3. Even without countermeasures the missile isn't guaranteed to hit.

Our combat mission is almost over troops need to come back and enjoy being on home soil for the first time in a decade so unlikely. We aren't the US don't have the budget to get every nice toy. They have to see what missions they are likely to deal with and what is needed.

They may try it...but aircraft are faster than ground vehicles so I would be surprised if it's very effective.
