Hey! Super Mario Bros is an awesome game! The great Giana Sisters was just easier and gained a more positive reputation. And if Giana sisters is so great, where are all of it's sequels?

In fact Mario is lots of easier, shorter and the level and graphic design is so boring compared to Gianna. Also the music in Gianna Sisters (C64 version) was really good (though Mario's theme is legendary also). In Atari version the music and sound was screwed.

Gianna has no sequels, because the whole game was banned. Otherwise there would be some for sure.

I don't say Mario was total crap, but I enjoyed Gianna Sisters much more. SMB3 was somewhat entertaining though.

I dunno, everyone says the Great Giana Sisters has awesome music but for some reason I don't hear... But I absolutely LOVE the classic Mario Music and all remixes so I guess it's like I'm at the other end of the scale.

And SMB3 is the best! Too bad the Tanuki, Frog and Hammer Suits have never reappeared... I was kinda hoping they'd be in New Super Mario Bros or something...

But back onto topic, yeah I knew Nintendo slammed down on Giana Sister's so that question was more rhetorical :D

Smb levels are three times longer than those in giana, giana has seriously crappy graphics, considering it's on a 16-bit system, Smb has better gameplay,better music and is just an all around superior game. Moreover the ones who got jealous are the creator of this game, considering they blatantly ripped-of everything of Smb. (Except music)

@Qetapaz Smb levels are quite a bit longer than those in Giana. Moreover, Giana copyed the level and graphic design of mario, and even tough Giana was on a 16 bit system ( while the NES is a 8-bit system) it's somehow managed to make them absolutly horrible.

an easy way to remember it being a lie that the levels are copied is to remember tggs doesn't contain a single pipe, while smb contains ancoutable of them.

Both games are crap compared to the games and graphics of today but still...they were fanbloodytastic way back then! Remember the atari and the commodore games! Copying a commodore game was as easy as pressing "record" on a tape player. hahaha Those were the days!

It's mario who is rip off from 1 of the serves from lady & the tramp(from disney). & his brother is rip off from the other. Non of the gigana sisters look anything like mario.
