Samantha stepped out of the comfort zone of what was being filtered to her by media & government about the rest of the world to find out for herself ie: Reagan's "Evil Empire comment about the Soviet Union. We hear echos from Bush's "Axis of Evil" comments. This gives children nightmares. To hell with war mongers who push & prod other countries to war. Shame on ignorant people who believe these rants of aggression from their leaders. Shame on them in the light of a brave girl named Samantha.

hi
i remembered samanta smith as a kid during 80s. I was born in soviet union and lived the first 15 years of life in USSR. I remembered that she visit USSR during 80s, and did go to Artek.

This is a very good choice of music and good video. I was only 2-3 years old when Samantha's Smith's story happened, so I don't have any memories, but what a incredible story during the height of the Cold War. Make love your goal!

El video esta bonito, esta historia es muy poco conocido por las nuevas generaciones occidentales, pero a mi me parece que los logros de esta niña son astronomicos juzgandolos por su edad, hizo el trabajo que no hicieron los diplomáticos, es muy posible que su logro fuera un catalizador no del fin de la guerra fria si no de que no hubiese una guerra nuclear real, esta niña se merece toda mi admiración y respeto, es un ser humano muy especial un ser diferente al resto, un angel.
