Thats not debug. That is a card crash screen. It shows up when the card is pulled out or hen the game frezzes. To put it in short, its the BSOD, DS version.

Actually the colour is different depending on which ds you have (the original ds actually had about 4 versions, but all looked identical). It's commonly used by the homebrew DS community to find out which version DS firmware you have.

I've had an original DS, 3 DS Lite's and now I have a black DSi. In all honestly I think the DS Lite was more revolutionary than the DSi even though it added nothing new bar the physicality of it, and at 50% more of the price of a DS Lite, the DSi is not worth it, but if you don't have a DS, or are thinking of getting one again, then the DSi is the way to go.
