I agfree with meharidude, all cars had 4 th gear . that make this video more great, because with 4 gears, I believe they coulod have made more than 120 KMH

Great presentation and an amazing EV. I want to see them in mass production for the same price! We don't need dirty oil and money thirsty pigs to mess up our planet. Now is the time to convert all what we have, what we know. No need to re-invent the wheel. It was done long time ago.

I think the car does have a 4th gear. I owned a Dyanne 6, older than this one, and had 4 gears, but maximum speed is probably achieved in 3rd. 4th, as Zenon says, has less torque.

yea...in forth the torque is too small to accelerate the car

This is a 2CV. No fourth or fifth shift there. Only latest 3CV had fourth shift.

Works for me!! Why would I want more than 89 km/h? =)

All 2CV made from the very first one in 1948 to the very latest 2cv6 (or known as 3cv to some people) made in 1990 had 4 gears. Albeit the 4th gear was marked as "overdrive" up to around 1970.
