ok my E8400 processer is clocked to 3.47 Ghz and its stable, as for the ram i am useing kingstones 800 Mhz ram which i overclocked just abit by about 39 mhz more cause my fsb is linked. im useing a 22 inch widescreen moniter by LG which is an awsome screen it's good for crysis cause it seems to clear alote of crap out. but i mainly stick with these resolutions 1024 by 768 and 1280 by 1024. both are exceptable for good eye candy and max graphics on top of that i can play any game without problems
yeah the game will work on your system on low but you are gonna have to use the lowest rez which is 800 by 600 and that should get rid of the lag and still keep the game looking good, as for your processer it is fast enough for the game and the game does support shader modle 3.0.. but before getting the game i recomend that you download the demo. is your video card AGP or pci Express?
well it depends let me ask you something how big is your moniter? and what type is it? is it an LCD TV? or is it an old cluncky moniter or is it the modern flat screen moniters? and the size of it?? the reason why im asking you is that, depending on the size of the moniter for an example if it is a 22 inch LCD and the rez is set to 1024 by 768 on high graphics the picture seems to be abit blurry but not enough to make the game look bad and unjoyable. if the screen is small and is 800*600 nice
but as far as 1024 by 768 goes i think it will work it has to cause at low settings it dosn't really and isn't really useing shader modle 4.0 which is a good thing cause dynamic lighting all of the exact mathmatics are not being calculated from the lights properties. so which in turn should work. AGP is a slower bus speed true but dosnt totaly mean that the card is the same. the card can get way higher speeds then the bus which in some cases is close to pci express dosn't compare to its limits.
Well i'm downloading the demo right now... 2 hours to go, rofl.
I'll get back to you when i've tryed it.
I found something else out though, in your crysis folder there is a text doc called NVIDIA. Open it up, it has a list of all GeForce cards and a number next to them. -1 means it will not play, 1 means it will play on low and 2 on medium, and so on.
My 6600GT has a 1 so hopefully I'll be able to play it... but only on very low :(
ok im looking forward to hearing your reply about wheather or not your card is able to play it, if it is not i think that there are still some 700 or mid 800 cards that have agp that you could get, if you are interstead in replaceing your card i could help you find one over the net and tell you where they are sort of thing if u want?
Good job, very nice graphic, it almost looks real! xD

Will crysis run on low with these:
Windows XP Home Edition
nVidia GeForce 6600GT 128mb GDDR3 (shader 3.0)
Intel Pentium 4 - 2.60GHz
1256mb (1.2GB) RAM
Any ideas?

My video card is AGP :( I was told PCI-E is alot more capable for running crysis. Oh and would I not be able to get 1024*728 res by any chance?
How does 800*600 look? It doesn't ruin the gameplay does it?

My Monitor is a flat screen, it's max resolution is 1024*728 I think... It doesn't support any higher res.
Thanks for the help mate!

Oh sorry mate...Yeah it worked! On Medium settings at only 800*600!
That's pretty good for a low-end card :D
Thanks for your help man :)
Cheers.
