  • "Cornette face"

    FUCK THIS INTERVIEW!!

  • Jim is alive and well as ESPN host Trey Wingo.

  • so true punk92... lol very very true lol & now hes on sprite lol so he doesnt have a heart attack lol

  • Jim Cornette when he was a shy, unsure young guy who wanted to make his break as a manager in pro wrestling. The same Jim Cornette who picked up a tag team called The Midnight Express, a tennis racket and a large mouth and ego to go along with it. In later years, would help out with the development of talent in WWE, be a promoter in the indie scene as well as TNA. Today he is the executive producer of Ring Of Honor. And famous for the Dairy Queen fiasco on video too.

  • This Is Cornette Before His Hopes And Dreams Were Dashed LOL

  • Right after this interview he Drank his FIRST coffee. LOL this is like Bizarro world hehehe

  • Good ol' Lance Russell.

  • Thats before he ate Wendys triple cheeseburgers every night and become a fatass!

  • Wow, Mr. Cornette is nervous as fuck. I'm glad they gave him more than one chance, it would have really sucked if they had cut this great career short.

  • @sageeofsuccess -- This is in the 1982 year when he first began!

In 1982, promoter Jerry Jarrett made the 21-year old Cornette the manager of Sherri Martel and gave Cornette the gimmick of a rich kid turned inept manager whose clients kept firing him after one match. The most notable wrestlers in this angle were Dutch Mantell and Crusher Broomfield (who would later gain fame as The One Man Gang and Akeem, The African Dream). ( copyright wikipedia )

  • When exactly was this?

  • Wow, horrible interview.

  • ..and he would go on to become one of the greatest managers

  • Jim Cornette shot John Lennon- he looks just like mark davis chapman

  • See what the wrestling buisiness can do to a man? Jim Cornette: calm, polite, well mannered young man. 25+ years later, he's a raving lunatic. Big fan of his though

  • This is great video to see where James E. came from! Outstanding!

  • I would follow him to hell and back if he asked me.

  • wow, so weird. He is so young. "I intend to know everything" he has gotten pretty close.

  • Q: Are We Not Men?

    A: We Are Cornette!

  • cornette looks like skippy from family ties

  • He will never find a guy or two guys who can be tag champions.

  • Awesome video post. I was a huge Cornette fan from his Midnight Express days, and I always wondered what his on-screen intro to wrestling management was like.

    Thank you.

  • One of the best ever. Jimmy rules.

  • He was like 21 years old here lol. so young.

  • Dayum. Corny so quiet and unassuming. Who knew that he would turn into probably one of the greatest talkers in the history of the business.

  • @Sargebri

    number 3 all time...maybe 2...

  • lol could it b, cornette HUMBLE???

  • Momma I wanna be in the Wrasslin.

  • Cornette looks skinny.

  • The last time you will ever see Cornette so calm...

  • At 0:14 Cornette gives a big time holy crap face. Cornette is a wrestling genius!

  • @DarkPascual

and without a tennis racket no less didn't recognize him!! lol

  • Started out so humble and then it was Sherri Martel who corrupted him and he never looked back

  • Corny always had the gift of gab. That hair has got me rollin'

  • Jim Cornette before he started yellin' and yappin'! LOL

  • The way he was talking about his "momma's money," it sounds like he was setting himself up for a heel turn...LOL

  • Wow, this was wonderful! Who would have known then what he would become. I have never seen him this toned down. In all of his promos, he seems like a prime case study for the benefits of decaffeinated coffee!

  • Damn I loved Tennessee Wrestling!!! And I've never seen this before!!! Jim Cornette wrestling debut!!! Incredible!!! Thanks OldSchoolRasslin!!! This is awesome!!! I love Cornette!!! He deserves the WWE Hall Of Fame too!!!

  • i saw the shoot with Cornett as well. I don't understand why he would feel ashamed about this. it's kind of a good set up to being a heel manager.

  • WOW, thank you so much for this, I've been dying to see this since I first heard how much he's ashamed about it in his firs shoot interview, a great piece of wrestling history

  • Gold.
