  • what is that tuned to?

  • @hihowareyouitsme Tunings are mostly in Fourth: B E A D F# B or Fifth (A D G C E A) or Major Third (C F Bb Eb G C)

  • lol half bass

  • I was looking for this video in forever...I kept thinking it was a Dead on 67 He was playing...So cool !!!

  • What is the scale on this one, Gregory?

  • I usually like your backing track but this one is a little bit I-don't-like-it. ;) I prefer a crunchy sound on the Danelectro guitars but it was very good, especially the playing. I'm learning at this moment your phrases. Danke schön!

  • @AlisonChaynes were you in there too?

  • The Fender Telecaster green is a '66 limited edition?

  • ìts like a bass, though its not

  • very smooooooth!

  • you are a master of this instrument.

people talk a lot of shit about danelectro guitars and they make it seem as though baritones are a gimmick. i think this shows how wrong they are.

  • i like verry much bravoooooooooooo

  • Slap guitar!!!

  • fuck i ment watching... im so lame..

  • i actually had a hard on while i was seeing this, WTF!

  • Hot damn. I love the thought of a Fender Bass VI, but this is a fucking nice guitar. It could well just be the player, but, in my opinion, this sounds much nicer than the Fender. And dat body. That said, I don't imagine many people make Bass VI string sets, but that's only a minor setback...

  • That was so funky, i loved it.

Baritones are loads of fun. everybody should get one haha

  • ..You faggot..

  • Very nice playing. Hadn't heard of baritone guitar before - acoustic or electric. I too was wondering what strings you're using. A special set designed for baritone guitars, or heavy gauge normal strings to account for the pitch drop? Acquiring minds want to know. Thanks.G

  • Man, I could listen to this 24/7. You're great.

  • half guitar, half bass

  • Is this still for sale

  • @GregsGuitars How is it tuned? sounds like a low tuned telecaster

  • Fucking chops bro!

  • once i heard this kind of music in a male strip bar

  • @Ranphorincus how would you know what male strip bar music sounds like

  • @Ranphorincus you would have even been in a male strip bar

  • @BreakingBenFanboy Yes sure i would! but i like it less when i'm searching for infos about baritone guitars

  • @Ranphorincus And why were you in the male strip bar?

  • @ZackMyslinskii was looking for you!!

  • @Ranphorincus The joke's on you my friend.

  • play some damn chords

  • bamm, nicccce

  • Cool baritone sound... Gotta love it.

  • so, it's been a year since the question about what strings you are using...surely by now you must have changed them...?

i just got one of these and i'm wondering what strings to use. hope you can help.

    nice playing, btw...

  • its b flat

  • wonder Y Prince doesn't play danelectro baritone, i can only imagine what would sound like

  • it sounds like the clavinet that stevie wonder used!

  • I have one that I tune A - A It loosens the string tension just right so you can wail. Just use a capo from there and you're all set for any key!

  • Hey Greg, do you still have this guitar? I hope you didn't sell it, not only does it sound amazing, it also fits you very well. It even seems like your playing is better on this guitar.

  • Sehr geschmeidig !

  • man he's chillin!

  • 1:41 says it all

  • Not bad for a white boy!

  • Walk around with a pimp stick type of music. Epic

  • @iBoredful LOL who needs a pimp stick when you've got a pimp axe? :p

  • Man people say Danelectro's guitar are for old people, but I'm 15 and mine still kicks ass

  • @STERNrogering who says that

  • @brooklynstudio everyone in my school

  • @STERNrogering well you tell everyone in your school that you will playever whatever you damn well please, and they can take a long walk on a short cliff. you play what makes you happy, I am A firm believer in that dude

  • @brooklynstudio whoa, thats deep

  • Really sounds funky, great for a groovy number !

  • I want a baritone guitar mostly to play spaghetti western stuff and slide blues. Is this guitar a good choice? I heard it has a terrible distorted tone. Will it be good for Jack White sound?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Awesome!

  • Hello! We also use a 63 Dano Baritone as a Bass VI. Great sound and great playing style - congratulations!

  • even a cheap piece of plywood sounds good with Gregor playing......

  • Danelectros sound awesome whoevers playing them :D

But Gregor is still awesome :)

  • what strings are on it,_

  • the stock strings, don't ask wich....

  • okay :D

  • Can you tune a guitar of this scale up to standard guitar EADGBe?

  • @danitz56 YOU CAN NOT tune to normal scale with the Baritone strings. My son-in-law did it with my Eastwood Sidejack and pulled the pins out on the bridge. Too much string tension. I wouldn't even try it without really light gauge strings, lighter than normal guitar. Might work then, but do so carefully.

  • @danitz56 If you have thin enough strings, lol. Nah, you probably cannot do that.

  • @snakeweirdo Buckethead plays a baritone scale guitar tuned up to standard...

  • @danitz56 Buckethead is wtf-crazy.

  • @danitz56 the strings will break if you do

  • @danitz56 Capodaster

  • Man! I like this guitars tone....So Funky.

    Right on Greg...

  • sweet guitar! so whydo you do all these demos

  • The guitars he play are for sale. He does the demos so you can hear what the guitar sounds like.

  • The first time I have heard a Danelectro Baritone and you make it sound a nice guitar as always. A really nice sound a bit retro which I guess is what they are about? Also good to hear something quite different from you. :)

  • i don't know exactly what a baritone is.. shame on me

  • I don't know either - but it's fun to play!

  • best answer ever! =D

  • hahaha

  • its between a bass and a normal guitar and you can tune it EADGBe but the the top e of a baritone is the bottom E of a standard guitar. if you had a bass, a 7 string baritone and a standard guitar then the tuning would be as follows bass - E1,A1,D1,G1 then baritone - B1,E2,A2,D2,G2,B2,E3 then guitar - E3,A2,D2,G2,B2,E4. does that make sense

  • @GregsGuitars baritone is also a low man voice maybe it has its name therefrom

  • @GregsGuitars i believe it has a longer fatter neck

  • @GregsGuitars Seriously?? You don't know? It's an extended-scale guitar - usually about 27-30"

  • @symptom07 Its basically a guitar thats built to have a standard tuning thats much lower than E-e

  • @symptom07 a baritone is a guitar with a long scale (distance from the nut to the bridge) and uses special strings. the long scale gives it the lowness (is that a word?)

  • @symptom07 it's got a longer scale with a deper pitch - in between a regular guitar and an electric bass. the only danelectro guitar that is still competitive because 'no one else' makes one.

  • @symptom07 "baritone" is a word meaning a sound in between bass and tenor... you know, like a baritone opera singer or a baritone saxophone.

  • @symptom07 A baritone guitar is a guitar that has a longer neck and a tuning lower than normal ;)

  • @symptom07 Its a low tuned guitar i think the standard tuning of a baritone is B standard and they have a longer scale length 27 or 28

  • @symptom07 has a longer scale length than a regular guitar so the notes held are lower

  • You should do a bass guitar demo! I like your funky low notes.
