So basically you could buy just this board for more than likely more than the cost of an entire sandy bridge combo, which X58 will never hang with clock for clock except with the use of the EE processors.
@callys This board is for people who enjoy overclocking, not for those who want a system that performs well. With this board you will be able to achieve much better results using liquid nitrogen and dry air cooling. Plus, X58 overclocking is a lot more fun than Sandy Bridge OCing, because there are more settings to play with. By the way the X stands for Xtreme, while the P in P67 stands for Performance. Sandy Bridge is mainly a platform for those with no money and the desire to get good FPS.
yep the new intel chips have the other chipsets tied to the baseclock and even a 2mhz increase causes them to malfunction leaving only the multiplier as an overclock method. on a chip with a locked multiplier it means you cant overclock.
Well done Gigabyte on taking - or stealing? -, the ideas from ASUS and MSI boards, making those features to work together on a single bundle board, adding on a couple more interesting features - extra-power through a SATA connector is pure genius! - and in the end, managing to stay in the €250 price point! Awesome! Oh, and it looks just great!
hey, I wondering..would this motherboard and its processor help improve video rendering and other video graphic relations?

@prankmypants
you CAN change the baseclock on the P67 whitout causing instability, its just not as flexible as QPI or FSB
