@samsagitarias Comrade, would you please be so kind to share which biography of Garrow this was, i.e. who wrote it?

I was going through Ben Wilson's What Price Liberty (nothing at all about Garrow in it), then saw Wilson's book mentioned in a review of Garrow's Law! Will try to get my hands on the series ASAP, and definitely will take a look at the Old Bailey cases online.

So far, found only Hostettler's and Allyson May's books on American amazon, perhaps there's something I missed?

I have this on DVD, its excellent courtroom drama with fine performances all round, well worth a watch if you get the chance.

There is a biograhical book about William Garrows that you can get - hardback copy, certainly will be gracing my bookshelves. Am studying law, so already have an interest in the subject matter, but this is wonderful, to see how the law was, how it worked and operated, and what this man did to change how justice was done, he introduced the adverseral approach to defense and prosection in the courtroom, amongst other things. if youre really interested, you can find more on the Old Bailey website

Apparently there's a book son to be released, that will be called 'Sir William Garrow: His Life, Times and Fight for Justice' .(you can look for it at Amazon)
