you know what being a nanny for past 11 yrs and being called "part of the family" is a great feeling. but I do understand the jealousness that the parents feel when their kids REALLY connects with the caregiver. I took care of two wonderful kids the past five years and I'm no longer needed, but the family still calls to see how I'm doing. I do think highly of working parents, cause kids do miss you when you aren't around. but I realised that nannies are missed too when you can't be there.
I was a nanny for my sister, and she faced the same thing; her kids wanting to be with me more than her. I can honestly say that it was because she wasn't emotionally available to them even when she was home- not that she had a nanny.
I swore that I'd be the one to raise my kid if I had one... and I do.

Obviously, this show is scripted. The way this show is done seriously is a mix between The Office and Malcolm In The Middle.
