@jimmy202709 - reality is, as much as youth pastor's want ALL their students to grow, and to worship God, not ALL of them do. A good majority of students come to hang out, so I must say this is a matter of desire, not reality. It's a sad reality, but this is why we must share the TRUE Gospel, we must invest in ALL students, and who knows maybe one day the tides will change completely (as long as the world doesn't end tomorrow lol)

I am attending college right now to become a youth pastor and trust me, its more than just a hangout time. Its a time where teenagers can come together and worship God and become disciples and grow in Him. Yeah there are fun times but thats not the main reason for youth, its not just there to keep them out of trouble.

Plus you have to have the skill of giving preaching Gods word without coming off as judgmental or self-righteous. ( I should know. I go to a school filled with judgmental people and self righteous pastors)

@betterntv We don't get to see his previous 10 minutes or the following 5 minutes after he gets it together. Mannerism, stage presence etc don't make a good preacher. I'm a pastor and not at all concerned by his "manic ways". What I'm concerned about is the life outside the pulpit, which we don't get to see on YouTube. And picking on his music stand makes you look elitist. I feel sorry for the guy, as I know this will be brought up to him every week or so for the next decade.
