  • Nightmare is still one of the greatest themetic compositions in cinema history. Love Goldsmith, R.I.P.

  • I was told that Jerry Goldsmith had expressed that he wanted to Score Schindler's List. WE ALL know that Steven Spielberg directed Poltergeist!!! lol. When the filming was done...they all dismissed Tobe Hooper...who had zero to do with the post production. Steven wanted Jerry to do the score to Poltergeist.

  • That last bit 5:25 is classic almost gothic!

  • Twilight is lovely ! I have seen this movie the first time at twilight-now . COMx (remove the x)

  • This man has an extraordinary talent in composing music!!! No wonder Steven Spielberg has his music in his movies. Its rare to be able to capture the essence of movie in music and this man is a genius at doing it!! Thank you so much for posting these great pieces of music. Please keep them up as long as possible thank you!!! :)))))

  • Most of Spielberg's movies are scored by John Williams. (I think this was one of the rare occasions that a different composer scored a film of his.)

  • @clericjack Not only had Goldsmith been nominated for an Academy Award for the music for Spielberg's production of Poltergeist just prior to his work on Twilight Zone: The Movie (the director/producer often mused about wanting to collaborate more with Goldsmith despite his partnership with John Williams for his own films), but he had also written a fair amount of creative material with limited instrumentation for the original television show.
